Is anyone running a Lightning Long with sunset orange rims and black plastics? I'm just kicking around the idea of swapping over the sunset orange plastics with black and keeping the orange rims. If you're running this combo and could post a picture, that would be greatly appreciated! |

I think between all of us, we have every single color combo possible. |

I'd be tempted to go the opposite way, since it's such a royal pain keeping those orange wheels looking nice... |

No, but I'm spoiled. My Cyclone had satin black wheels. Damn I miss those! |

On the other hand................. For the more conservative rider who is tired of cleaning colored wheels...........
Here is a wheel that was powdercoated in Graphite Grey to match the XB12 frame, with polished and clear coated rims. Work was done by fellow Bad Webber, Xbcrazy. They do seem to be a lot easier to keep nice looking than the dreaded amber wheels the bike came with. |

Thanks for the compliment Beachbuell. AmericanmadeXB, I cut my 06 hugger down. The stock hugger is so awful looking IMO. I first took it off but my rear shock was getting drilled by dirt so I decided just to hack mine up and put it back up. Orange wheel's are hard to keep clean, especially keep9ing all the brake dust off of them. I guess if I can figure out how not to brake I would only have to clean my wheels once a week instead of every other day. |

I was thinking of doing the same. Just picked up a 2006 XB12Ss in Sunset Orange as well... This is what I am thinking of as a final look...

It's a good look Ghalsey. Here is a front view showing the red Buell lettering and black levers with red.
