I'm trying to negotiate rates with a few of the closest hotels, but they're all chains, so I don't know how much luck I will have. I'll post some info when I have prices and dates, and if we can get a block of rooms - we've had quite a few inquiries! Yay! There are also some local motels, which would be more reasonably priced probably. That way there's a range. Check back soon or PM me! |

All of my Jewish friends are pointing out this is Rosh Hashanah and they won't be able to go. Too late for this year, but I hope any future events are better planned. |

Unfortunately, September fills up pretty fast. The first weekend is Labor Day, then the one after that is both the NJ State HOG Rally and a race team event in Illinois, then the weekend after that is NJ Rolling Thunder, and about 3 other open houses in the area. That brings us up to the 23rd already. The weekend of the 30th is the York Open House. Plus I know at least one other dealer is doing their Open House on the 30th. Yikes. Hopefully it will work out better for dates next year. Sorry about that. |

I'll try my previous post from our sponsor site here. The clock is ticking, so we'll need to know from you guys & gals ASAP: "Now this is not set in stone yet, but we're just putting the feelers out there for an idea... We just got set up to be a Rockett Fuel dealer (for the XBRR, very specific fuel requirements). We were wondering how everyone would feel about having 100 octane unleaded available to purchase at the open house? We have to look into pricing, so anyone who's interested, let us know how much you would consider reasonable. We would probably get a drum of the stuff if demand were sufficient enough. Let us know ASAP so if everyone wants it, we can get it in time. Chris" Here's a chance to get some high quality/octane street-legal fuel into your machine to see how it really performs! Keep in mind, this will be higher than pump prices, but I believe it will be worth it |

Just wanted to update folks - we finally came to an agreement with the local hotel - the closest to our dealership. The rate they quoted us was $85/night, although we have not received the actual paper contract yet. The hotel is a Best Western, and it is literally one intersection from the dealership. They are holding a block of rooms in the name of Liberty Harley-Davidson/Buell, but even if the block is released, you should still get the discounted rate, subject to availability. They only opened a few weeks ago, so availability shouldn't be a problem. It's called the Best Western Riverview Suites, and the local number is 732-381-7650. You can also check it out at www.bestwestern.com (our zip is 07065). Regular rates are between $94 and $150 a night (!) so make sure you ask for this Liberty H-D/Buell rate. We only met with them yesterday, so if you have any problems or if they don't know what you're talking about, please PM me or call us up and hopefully we'll be able to fix it. Hope to see everyone on the big day! Sept 23! Don't forget! Bring your friends! Michelle |

Also, guys, the Buell Demo Truck will be here Friday and Saturday - so if you are coming up the day before, if you get here early enough, come on over for the Demo Truck on Friday, the line should be much shorter on Friday. Michelle |

Well, given the response on the fuel, we may not get a whole drum of it. Was hoping for a bigger response. We'll see what we can work out with Rockett Fuel and keep everyone posted. |

Well, off we set on what is going to be a spectacular week. Music, motorcycles, good friends, a good cause and Liberty's 9th Annual Birthday Bash! Between art and music. . . the people in the world of Buell will be strutting their stuff as the week crescendos to the Liberty event on Saturday. The week starts with The Thunderbolts playing at Legends Harley-Davidson in Ledgewood, NJ followed by 3,000 bikes being escorted (I mean, how else could you do it) to the Hard Rock Cafe' in New York City. If you haven't seen the Queensryche bikes and helmets, you are in for a treat. The work of Sylvain Tourangeau is nothing short of stunning. Music will set the theme for the week and the goal is to scare up some funds for the VH-1 SAVE THE MUSIC Foundation which helps get music education and musical instruments (a great place to donate) into the hands of children. Who knows where the next Coltrane or Hendrix will come from? If you are teetering and need a darn good reason to tip your "I gotta make this one" scale, you need to know that few folks in the world throw a party like Tom, Michelle, Moose and Anthony (Mutation Racer). The music will be great, again featuring The Thunderbolts on their 2nd visit to Liberty and a special visit by the guys from Queensryche who'll stop in, hang for a bit and lead a ride to the House of Blues (which is an amazing new venue) In Atlantic City. There may be a couple extra reasons to show up. If the artwork on the bikes isn't stunning enough, we may be seeing (depending on travel plans) Mr. Shandon Walker who recently won a 2007 Buell for his awesome Buell helmet design in the Tourist Trophy contest. The contest folks failed to blue the helmet with a signature and if we can lure Shandon to New York, Erik's on tap to sign the helmet and Shandon's new Buell. By the way. . . as if you needed one more reason. . well here's the coup de Buell. Shandon, are we fat on great artists and musicians or what, has done a spectacular shirt design. Me? . . I'm showing just to snag a way cool (and RARE) shirt and some autographs! See ya there! Court

Wow, jeez, this sounds like a good party. Hope I can make it. ;P But seriously, things are starting to fall into place over here. Starting to feel really real. And the weather looks good too. Hope to see everyone there! (Didn't know The Thunderbolts were also playing Legends - pretty soon it IS going to be a tour!) |

Hey guys. I'm in New Brunswick area and want to come by. I noticed that Liberty is open until 8 on Friday. Is this going to be extended? I'd love to get out and test ride an '07 XB12X, but I work on Friday and have a friend's birthday on Saturday. Thanks, James |

We'll ask the demo truck driver when he gets here tomorrow, but usually they shut down the demo rides when it gets dark, from what I understand - not much later than 6 or so. I don't know what time your birthday is Saturday, but the demos will prob. start at 9am on Saturday, so if you could get here early we could try to save you a spot in the first or second run... I'll get more info when the truck shows up. |

Well folks , I'd say the planets are aligning big time! Last night, to borrow a little weatherman lingo, Erik and the Thunderbolts made "Bandfall" with wiser members arriving my air while Erik and Ed did a non-stop road trip driving band equipment. These guys are major hyped and gearing up big time for Saturday! By the way . . . a bit of advise. . . if you see one of the folks in the band, just call them either Erik or Ed. No, it's true it works. Two Erik's, with a "k" and two Ed's. Makes for some funny and confusing moments and no shortage of "well, I thought Ed was going to do it" moments! There are rooms readily available and the weather is promising to be a typical coolish gorgeous Northeast fall day. If any folks are arriving Friday, drop me a note and let me know. Liberty HB/Buell will be in full swing on Friday celebrating their 9th birthday bash. By the way. . . talking about birthdays, there's about to be a special one. Michelle (Chellem) wife of our favorite Viking, Chris (Odinbueller) is in her 9th month of her gallant effort to add a 2nd kidlet to the family. She is due . . you guessed it SATURDAY! One way of another, the place will be excitement central. Court
P.S. - me?. . .I'd come for the cool Shandon Walker t-shirt alone! |

I'll try to make it over there first thing Saturday morning, then. What's the seat height on the '07 XB12X? I'm only about 5'7", and am a little concerned about the height. How are the rides organized in Rahway? I'm local, but can't think of any great routes in that area. Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks, James |
