Looks like some 3rd grade artwork and that pegasus looks like a donkey So, uh, let's design a better one? I've got an idea. Will pitch back into this thread later if it stays alive long enough... |

Yeah, and he spammed a bunch of us trying to sell 'em, too. Probably a primary reason for the recent recommendation from Blake and other knowledgable types to hide your e-mail address in your profile. rt |

Note that everything the guy has ever sold on e-Bay are knock off Buell items. I wrote asking if any of his Buell logo stuff was licensed. I'll send a copy to HD legal in Michigan. These folks gall me. Court |

What is a 3%er? "I really came in late", I guess. Thanks, Dan |

What does 3%er mean? A local club has 1% on their vests, I assume its the same thing? |

Not even close. Well, not in the application of it anyways. |

Old definition -> 1% = Percentage of citizens with a felony conviction. So a 1%er is one of that elite group. Something to be proud of, eh? |

3% of sales = 97% of the fun? (Message edited by dsergison on March 02, 2005) |

I always thought that "1%" was a reference to that AMA article back in the dim mists of time that said something like "99% of motorcyclists are law-abidinig citizens, only 1% are outlaw troublemakers." rt |

RT is correct. It became a symbol of independence for the Hells Angels to say you were a 1%er |

"RT is correct" Music to my ears! Unfortunately, it's a piece that's seldom performed in public... Thanks, Dan! rt |

This one, I don't believe is sufficiently different to overcome copyright issues. But I wanted to play with it - two sets of wings to represent two cylinders... This one however, Enjoy! And if you've got the ability, or know someone who has the ability, to make up some nice stickers for us - let me know...

Midknyte, screw the stickers. I want to make some t-shirts or hats from that picture with the sheep! I love it! My brother and I will have the ability to embroider stuff like this shortly. Do you have a larger version of both of those you could email me? is so, you could email them to: mackay.steve at gmail.com ? |

Midknyte. yes, the first one is too close to Buells copyrighted item but could you do something with just the wings in a V pattern. leave out the horse head. that might be very nice. |

Mid, maybe I'm reading into that sheep one a bit to much. But, is the black sheep suppose to represent us? If so, what are the red ones for? |

I need to explain this? Sigh... It's a mega-meme-smash: Willie G's Bastard step children (Buells) > Stepsheep aka red-headed stepchildren > red-headed sheep owning, the corners (in cartoonish literal fashion)... The black sheep there is for fun & contrast, and to help tie in the concept for the red ones.

Oh man, now I get it!! Thats really funny once I have it explained to me. I'm a bit slow sometimes. I live in Texas afterall!! I still have no idea what a mega-meme-smash is however (Message edited by buelliedan on March 02, 2005) |

I think even using the Buell name might be infringing on the copyright. |

yep, you are too close to the logo....even the name....like making money using the word harley davidson...won't happen... there is a guy selling black t shirts with the wording buell motorcycle company on them...surprised he gets away with it...he also does other makes and models...yamaha, victory, etc....it is not right..... |
