Aaron actually works two jobs. His day job is managing the engineering dept of a world renowned hard drive controller manufacturere/designer. If you ever do have a chance to visit him at work, I'd say try for the engine performance shop first. Aaron has more drive than the average moto-enthusiast. He also has Susan who is absolutely amazing. Without her expert management, I have a suspicion that the business would be in dire straits. Who do you think is the real boss. As for sponsorship here, that is a business decision that NRHS felt they needed to make. Personally I think it was a terrible decision, and I hope NRHS will be able to come back on board soon. Might I suggest that everyone who has ever benefitted from or enjoyed the contributions Aaron has made here please send to him a brief email expressing appreciation and thanks. Sometimes we forget to tell people those kinds of things thinking/assuming they know how we feel. Sometimes though, people really do need to hear that and it can make all the difference in the world to them. Or just post your expression of gratitude and/or appreciation here. I'll start. Thanks for everything Aaron, thanks for your technical articles, for sharing your dyno testing, for sharing your land speed adventures, your home, and for just plain being the kind of guy that any moto-head would enjoy spending time with. For me personally, thanks for sticking up for me in the face of undeserved derision and for helping me with various Buell related advice. I'm proud to say that I Aaron and I once assembled a motorcycle and got it running in a matter of hours. Thanks for all that and more. My life has been enriched for knowing you and befriending you. Your friend, Blake (Message edited by Blake on February 26, 2005) |

Aaron, Your postings have always been inspirational & "spot-on". I hope you will reconsider due to the fact you are an icon to this board. Please put the small differences behind you. The Buell community still needs your input, whether or not you decide to be a sponsor. |

Amen ... It’s not like were close buds, but I wish we were. As you may recall, I first met you at one of the Buell sponsored events in Taos NM. back in 98’, a least I think it was 98. Next, would have been at Bonneville a couple of different times at different events. It’s no secrete on the BWB how much you’ve went out of your way to help anyone in the Buell community, at Bonneville, let alone on the BBS itself. It would be sweet to see you reconsider whatever it was that drove you away. If not, then thanks for being there for all of us and your contributions. -SD: (Message edited by smokedaddy on February 27, 2005) |

I have never met Aaron but we've exchanged a few Emails. He is one of Buellings true gentlemen and his sharing of the information he has about Buell tuning is brilliant. I hope we him posting and perhaps you will have NRHS as a sponsor again soon. Regards Steve. |

Aaron's knowledge will be sorely missed - all I have is praise for NRHS parts quality - and his willingness to explain things so that the person asking can understand the answer given. A rare ability - especially in his chosen field pertaining to Buells and HD's. I hope he will continue to post and he will be sorely missed if he doesn't. I too am saddened by this news. Got Thump?! Aarons decison to stop advertising here on BadWeb was in no way driven by financial reasons. NRHS can afford to advertise here if they so wish. Unfortunately some things happened that caused Aaron to decide he no longer desired to advertise here. I for one support his reasons for doing this. Sometimes it seems as if people forget the reasons why they started doing something in the first place and get caught up in "the politics" of buerocracy. I hope that those involved in driving Aaron away reconsider thier actions.http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/3842/34516.html?1109599894 (Message edited by buelliedan on February 28, 2005) |

Its not like NRHS is not in business anymore! They do excellent work and sell great products and are well known for it. I don`t blame for not being a sponsor anymore with all the shady things going on here. Call them directly or check their website and i`m sure they will be there as always to help you. |

Dan, No one drove Aaron away. He's welcome here anytime. Your sideline gossipy subversion of what was an uplifting and positive thread is absolutely not welcome here. John, Please do tell us about "all the shady things going on here." Would you be referring to a disgusting subversion of what was a thoughtful expression of appreciation. Or would you be talking about the people who use vague innuendo to cast aspersions against others? You are right, that is pretty damn shady and I wouldn't want to be associated with it. Thank you Court and Glitch for maintaining/resurecting the positive theme of the thread. |

>>>Just what is welcome here? Start with facts. In fact, try this. Say something "nice". Doesn't have to be anything Earth shattering, just nice. Avoid averice and the social magnetism of jumping on bandwagons. I know little about the dynamics of Arron and Blake's discussion, suspect you know less and the only I DO know for certain is that I have sufficient respect for both to listen closely to what they say and hope they get this worked out. One sure way to get ones nose poked and feelings hurt is by introducing both into places they don't belong. Just a guess on my part.... Court |

Aaron- Some people come and some people go and nobody is ever the wiser. NRHS disappearing as a sponsor and getting this much attention - well, apparently folks give a poop. Even if NRHS no longer sponsors, please stick around personally. You're integral to the feel and integrity of this place. -Saro |

Should have been taken care of personally and not on this board for the whole world to see. A good friendship was either totally lost or very stressed at this point. I hope they can work things out. That read was nuts. |

Hey guys ... I really really really appreciate the comments. Good to know I have friends. As to what's going on, well, it's a long story. For another day. Got an interesting e-mail today. Someone I do business with, out of the blue he volunteered to not do business with anyone who has stolen money from me. Apparently he has this pact with some others, too. I, of course, reciprocated the offer. I'm honored that he has that kind of trust in me and I certainly have that of him. Good friends and honest businesspeople are worth their weight in gold. Thanks again. |

>>>>he volunteered to not do business with anyone who has stolen money from me. Duh? Tell me if I am missing something. They'd steal from you and yet not me? No way Jose'.....with all due respect to Jose'. Court P.S. - I have a bone to pick with NRHS. I recently bought a shiny, precision made air cleaner dealio and may need another. The first it seems, is about to get matted, framed and hung. I think the final production step should be like the gov't had talked about doing with coins...take a big ol' screwdriver and put a scratch in them. |
