Has anyone tried the Buell Traction handlebar grips? How are they? Thanks. Never Give Up! |

Probably some of the best money I've spent on the eVil Twin. Very comfortable. Big improvement over stock. Do yourself a favor and buy them. Rich |

I've been riding my 9R since late May with the stock grip on the left and the Traction grip on the right. I wanted to make sure I liked it before cutting and gluing the other side. After 3 months, I still can't decide which I like better. |

I have 'em -- had to cut the ends off for the throttlemeisters, but they are quite nice. Not 'squishy' but (my opinion) noticably more comfortable than stock. No way to add bar-ends unless you cut the end off or just the button insert, FYI. Chris Chris |

I like 'em. More comfortable than the stock grip, look good, cost little. They have sort of a "barrel" shape that fits your hand better. Since they're larger in diameter than the stock grips they offer slightly less feedback and throttle control, but it's not an issue at all for a street bike. Mike |

Best bang for the buck upgrade I put on the 9R. Huge improvement in comfort over stock. A friend rode my bike with them before demo'ing a CityX. He mentioned how the stock grips sucked compared to the fatter traction ones. |

You can also pick up a set of Pro gel grips at any import bike shop...usually around 6-9 a set. Used them on my X1 & they are great. |

Put the Traction Grips on my X1 and they are great. Much better than the OEM grips. Over the years I have had gel grips, foam grips, bushy rubber spine grips, etc., and the Traction Grips are my favorites. |

Are there any grips out there that have a larger diameter? I have the traction grips, but my I lose circulation to my hands somehow and they go numb. If a larger diameter does not work, I'll have to try changing the handlebars because the ergonomics are definitely not right for me. |

grip glue will run another $3-6.00 Use Hair spray in a pump bottle. It lubricates so you can slide the grip on, then dries & holds em tight. Been doing that for 20+ years now. |

Badweb price on Traction grips is 15.26 and I have them in stock. They come with glue, just in case you are all out of hairspray. Ride to the edge! Dave 1-866-757-1651 ask for Dave in the sales dept! |

Is the price of 16 bucks for 2 grips? I just had my harley dealer tell me this was for one grip since they always come in left and right. I asked where does it say L/R in your parts catalog(which I handed to him) or www.Buell.com? He said it said a quantity of 1...then I asked why it said "grips" as in plural? No answer....but I asked them to order only one and if I was wrong then I would eat it and another would be ordered. Just curious...this 16 bucks is for two grips right? |

Yes, the price is for a pair. That's what I paid for mine, which I have yet to install. Mike. |

Harley service sucks when it comes to Buells. They are selling these things in the wrong dealerships. My dealers parts guy looks at me like I'm nothing more than a pain in his @$$. Two reasons....1-Buells are not Harley's. Just ask anyone at the dealer. 2-Buell catalogs and ordering stuff is more cumbersome to work with than Harley stuff. Less info available. Never Give Up! |

Grand Touring grips are a little bigger diameter than the Buell Traction grips -- either are better than the staockers, IMO, as they are barrel shaped (thinker in the middle than the ends) -- it's all down to what you're most comfy with . .. . . . unit is 1 pair, as in one each left and one each right . . . . |

Dave, Well said I guess. I must say you have quite the reputation as a good guy to deal with...good to know if that option needs to be followed. I don't know what to say man...I have heard of grips being left/right but usually it said so. Oh well...it was good for laughs at least... |

It had me laughing! I guess if they had them in stock, like a real Buell dealer should, they could've just went over and looked at them. Ride to the edge! Dave |
