Dyna...Thanks for the confirmation. A number of your post indicate otherwise and there was good reason for concern. Enjoy the rides!!! |

A number of your post indicate otherwise and there was good reason for concern. ???? If you are referring to my top speed runs...those are when im out riding by myself. For one thing with the group that I usually ride with, they will be in 5th gear & im just shifting into 3rd so high speed runs would be totally pointless. Its only fun if you have actual competition. Group rides are treated way differently. Now if someone in the group wants to have a little fun & we do a few wheelies or a few 0-100 or so runs...hell im all for that. Main thing is, no matter what the operator of a bike has to look out for their own safety. If they feel they are riding too fast & cant keep up with the group...then slow down. Its real simple to ask the leader to dial it back a notch because you arent real comfortable yet. Now I guess I gotta have a speech before every damn ride. #1...Ride your own pace you are comfortable with. #2. Always leave yourself an out. #3. Avoid target fixation....number 1 cause of single vehicle accidents in my opinion. Well maybe alcohol is number 1. #4. stop every 75-80 miles for wimmen folk pee breaks #5. when we do stop for pee breaks..dont have a frickin soda because you are just gonna pee itout again 30 miles. #6. bring enough $$ to pay for the ride leaders lunch..ok I just made that one up, but I think it should be the new #1. |

Dyna has lead the group rides I've been on just fine, he wasn't doing no 172 mph for sure !! He does sometimes have to be coaxed into stopping for the wimmen folk (yeah that'd be me!), but it's more about my "" hurting and I gotta stretch my legs not to mention a smoke, darn it !! CJ |

Dyna does a great job leading, but maybe we wimmen folk need some weasel (excuse me) beaver squeezers so we can have the stamina that he does. LMAO |

So Dyna, your lack of response suggests that your daughter will not be at the event? |

RE: Tires and speeds...XB (Dave Leppelmeier) has a GPS on his XB9R and I recall him telling me that the M1s were the most accurate with regard to the bikes speedo, only a percentage point or two off versus three times that for the Dunlops. |
