There's a parallel going on in Africa today as the Chinese Belt & Road program indebts the cruddy countries that have been looted by the communists after the Colonial System collapsed in the wake of the 20th century World Wars. The Chinese "assisting engineers" trying to build infrastructure to steal when the lousy local government can't pay back the loan, are more and more openly disgusted by the locals living in the ruins of Colonial civilization. The broken bridges that were never fixed after the Romans or British left. The rail roads that haven't been upgraded since 1918. It's not race. It's lying victim culture. And the leftist creed that actually fixing a problem means you can't use it to generate hate to stay in power. Sound familiar? | ||

I'll SPECULATE that his idealism ran into reality and he was unable to separate the ideals from the Party or Rebellious Political Group he imagined himself a hero of. I'm sympathetic to a point. I, too, ran hard into real life messing with my taught ideals. One turning point was Nixon & Vietnam. How freaking Dare a hated Republican stop a ( not declared, but they still die ) war my generation was being sent to Save Democracy From Communism while the Democrat President imposed insane rules of engagement to prevent the stated goal from being achieved? With a Peace Treaty, no less! Purely selfish, of course, to be grateful my 8th round Draft Number pick didn't get me sent to boot camp, then... Congress threw the peace away and millions were murdered. "Bus accidents" on the way to reeducation camp accounts for over 10 million people and they were the lucky ones that didn't have to dig more graves until the last one they were shot in. I watched the riots supporting evil in the 1970s just as they do... Today. And it became obvious that the complaints were excuses when the cause was removed but the rhetoric and arson remained. These were supposed to be the good guys? The Second revelation came with the kind assistance of the Communist Party that Barack Obama joined years later. Full credit to Saul Alinsky who wrote their bible on how to lie to steal power. Even more credit to great authors like Mack Reynolds ( 1917-1983 ) who had been a prime mover in the Socialist Labor Party until thinking free ruined him for them. Aka, he wrote something that angered them, part of a book "How to retire without money" that showed how to succeed in a Capitalist system, HERETIC! Destroy! With cudos to B.F.Skinner, who's Walden 2 was eye opening to a kid growing up reading Brave New World and couldn't understand how someone could convince everyone to go along with insanity. And today's headlines show exactly that. | ||

Permits and classes required to parent. ) And most people wear an ear ring that declares their status and preferences. Single/married/looking/etc. Plus what you are looking for. Ones that follow through. I speculate that the lying would be fleeing from the Worse Than Hitler ( insert name here ) are simply virtue signaling liars, going for echo chamber ego stroking. Where in real life, real people do flee oppression, and unsustainable economic loss. So there will be thousands ( tens & hundreds of ) fleeing the People's Republic of Kalifornia, and the New York Imperium, because they can't afford to stay. And at least a dozen will flee States that restrict their rights to kill babies. And dozens more mentally ill parents will flee States that restrict Child Abuse and mutilation. Plus children and teens will be lured by promises of "gender affirming" zealots will run away with the assistance of the pedo grooming monsters. It's not technically kidnapping, more cult luring and brainwashing. ( don't know the Legal term ) But those people that REALLY will migrate internally are doing so based on real life hardship, or Cult capture. So will millionaires and billionaires who will move their riches, businesses & jobs, to business friendly States. ( Florida is trying to get Wall Street to slide down the coast ) I won't speculate what actual % of the Poll's 50% will move for financial reasons and what % Just daydream and suck up Victim Points. ( and will stay, no matter what ) After all, a lot of folk in Authoritarian regimes are trapped by family. Parents and relatives they don't want to abandon. It's not polite or happy making to say "I'm stuck here until ( insert relation ) dies. They need me." But it's real life for a huge number. ( I'm in that camp ) | ||

Because out of any large enough group, there is a possibility that one or more might be capable of violence. The sheep to goat ratio varies with ideology, no need to point out the obvious. ( killed by jealous girlfriend is not that rare a headline in Florida elderly communities ) And while I'm a peaceable guy, I can see that being kept in jail without bail for years and then being sent to prison for Insurrection over being pushed into the Capitol and quietly talking to nice police officers, might unhinge me enough to want to take revenge on my persecutors. I'd, of course, keep my temper and try to resume a normal life. I wouldn't track down and torture murder every member of the Jan 6 Committee that lied about me on tv. No way! I certainly wouldn't break into their homes while they were at work, search it for stashes of cash and illegal weapons, and lay in wait to ambush them with a one iron. Oh, heck, no!
