Steve, the Airtech my be your only alternative. Unless you can find someone to build one from scratch using your old one as the template. |

I can attest to the Baldwin Saddle - I have one on my S3T and the quality is absolutely fantastic!! Loren does an excellent job! I've been wondering about the quality and fit of the Airtech stuff, from years ago I had heard differing comments on quality...maybe they have everything pulled together? in the photo it looks good! good luck with the continuing build! I'm watching closely...photos? |

Baldwin Saddles is the real deal, and a fellow Badwebber here by the name of Loren Mock. I can't remember his screen name, but I can say that I was inadvertently a part of him starting the biz lol. Hopefully his ears will start burning and he can chime in here . edit- After I typed this and read it again, I see Loren's name mentioned several times and feel like an idiot lol. Stuff starting to trickle in, jet hot flat black. Not sure I like the flat black though, originally tried a satin, but now I'm thinking gloss. Opinions? (click on the photo to view the album). |

I think it looks good for a header. Not so sure that a gloss header will look any better. Also wonder if the gloss will stay that way with the heat. |

I think the flat kind of downplays it and gives it a "rat-rod' feel....what about silver? Would gloss black hold up to the heat? Regardless....great to see the project getting picked back up!! |

I've had all of my headers for Buells ceramic coated by Jet-Hot jet coating and have been very pleased with the fit, finish, function and even the color, kind of a polished silver.... |

Satin usually looks pretty good, more than 1/2 of the ceramic jobs I do are like this one. This one is gloss black (glacier black cerakote). (Message edited by d_adams on November 08, 2014) |

Btw, any of the high temp stuff from Cerakote works well and is typically rated at 1800 degrees or higher. |
