I recently purchased a used 1190SX where the previous owner installed a programmable IDS ECM. I ran into trouble trying to reprogram the ECM, and contacted IDS via email. Without hesitation they offered telephone support at night when it fit my schedule. As it turns out after extensive troubleshooting, the cable was from a different manufacturer than they use so the drivers were wrong. Even after knowing that I was using another company's cable, and that was the source of the problem, Tim from IDS called me back to check on the status and see if he could be of further help. We all want to support EBR, and buying their ECMs is one way to do that, but IDS is also a small company who goes well beyond the minimum when taking care of customers. I recommend you seriously consider their ECMs for purchase, and maybe spend some money at EBR on something that only they supply. |

Yes IDS customer support is great. I recently wanted to get my ECM flashed for a larger rear sprocket and was able to do some testing for Tim at IDS in return my flash was free. |

That's an awesome example of some local boys working with their customers. Thanks for sharing. |

Tim is a great guy and he and his company is to be commended on their continued support to EBR and EBR owners alike. |

I also had some issues that needed looking into. They went over and above what I think many/most would do to remedy my problem. Friendly, easy to talk to, worked with me till the problem was fixed. Mike |

Tim is a #1 kinda guy. I have talked with him on the phone, done e-mails and even a couple of texts. You can tell he is "in the Buell loop". The programmable ECM kit has a few "perks". Z |

Hey Jim Tim's software is very.... industrial looking. No frills, just function. Runs on Windows, I'll see if I can get some screenshots... Z |
