Am wondering if I need to redo my suspension settings in that the '09 R is now 6 years old and has 47,000+ miles on it. It still feels pretty good on our less then perfectly smooth roads. Anybody have experience in this kind of thing? |

Myself and a friend both found that we have to redo our suspensions (both riding 08 R's) every so often. They get soft after a while and just need to be retuned. If you grab a handful of brake and do a nosedive, it's past due. As you ride you get used to the suspension gradually getting softer and don't notice the change. I retuned mine a couple of weeks ago and it feels like a whole new bike. Stickier in the twisties and a heck of a lot better over bumps. It wasn't bad before, but it's a night and day difference. Give it a shot. Only takes 20 mins or so. |

when the fork oil breaks down there is watery oil and heavier sludge. tuning for waterier fluid is not really the answer. when you eventually do get new fork oil everything will be OFF. |

Do a service on the fluids too. |

Yep - time for a rebuild: forks and shock. |
