So i fixed my stripped banjo bolt hole, and put everything back togethor, but now my clutch has 0 engagement. I bled the line thuroughly, and nothing, it just feels like a wet noodle. I would like some opinions as to what the problem might be, thanks. |

have you bled the system? the check ball may not be where it should be? Is the bike vertical? If so put it on the kickstand so the master cylinder is at an angle. This may help. |

Bleeding the system took forever for me...felt like i was pumping the lever and cracking open the fitting for hours. I would recommend keep at it. Even the smallest amount of air will give you that noodle feeling. After awhile you should start to get pressure, enough to squirt fluid up from the reservoir. |

Hatch is right, keep squeezing the lever. I had to pump the lever close to a half hour once. As soon as I started feeling resistance it went pretty quick. Get it pretty close and bungee the lever to the bar overnight. Next morning all is good. works for brakes too..... Z |

I know when i replaced mine, (clutch weep fix) the 1st attempt i didn't properly seat the sleeve inside the clutch cover; the notch wasn't aligned properly; so, it went back together and i thought i was good.. but the bleeding process wasn't quite right. and the clutch never engaged well. after i went back in and aligned the sleeve properly.. it bled quickly and easily. worked like it should |

Unfortunately, this is a common problem and a real PIA. I now have a neat solution to this. It is a portable hospital stomach pump. I found it in the scrap yard and it was broken. I fixed it. It consists of a vacuum pump attached to a plastic liter container with a removable lid. It has a port for the vacuum pump on the lid and several other ports of different sizes, one of which is the correct size for a hose that also fits the bleed spigot on brakes and the clutch on the Buell. All you do is fill the reservoir and turn the pump on. Once fluid without bubbles appear in the container your done. It takes only seconds. |
