To zero the TPS: a. Set the Run/Stop switch to the Run position. b. Turn the ignition key to the On position. c. With the engine off, rotate the throttle grip from closed throttle position to wide-open throttle position and back to closed position 3 times holding the throttle grip against each stop for 1 full second. d. Cycle the key off and back on. |

Should just be a bolt on part, do the reset and go. |

Hmmm Was told it had to be position on the T.Body...So are the 2 mounting bolts just 2 holes , OR Are they like slots to adjust? |

No slots. Just bolt on and perform TPS reset. A service manual will tell you exactly what to do. |

Guess the above TPS reset procedure is the way to do these resets on the 2008 and newer... Correct-a-mundo! It works for anything DDFI3. Same procedure works on my '08 XB12XT and my '09 1125CR, 1313 |

Power is down, Up around 3800 , 4000 rpms and on as well okay IF one drives easy, but under power its Not right... Changed TPS sensor Was better for a day or so back to the same...Cleaned IAC or whatever its called on the Throttle Body back together Worked GREAT for like 100 klms or so...Now back to the same loss of power seems better when first start and cool, But still not full power when it works good...for about 10 to 15 mins.... Its werid to say the least..It is on a 2009 So its different ECm, etc than older than 2008 model years...Not sure IF that makes much difference etc.... |

you can reset afv with tunerprort or ECMspy...For later models its more cost effective by a million to TunerproRT |

IF, Say a Rear head temp. sensor goes south, it throws a Check Engine light correct , at least it did on a 2004 and 2005 model year I know of, Not sure on the 2009 and what about a bad 02 sensor, I think I heard that it may or may not throw a light? |

My bad O2 sensor didn't throw a code on my 2008. |

A failing sensor can but won't always throw a code. If it is only failing a little (like only reporting 20 degrees off), that is still within its normal operating parameters and the bike would be none the wiser, just thinking it is running a bit cooler/hotter. If it is way off, the bike can sometimes know it is getting a bad reading and then throw a code. If you are going to change the head temp sensor, might as well do the Oxygen sensor while you are in there and rule that out. Bosch 12014 is under $14 USD on Amazon at the moment. The AFV can be reset with the TunerPro RT program, it is a pain in the ass to setup and get running, but once you do it is great. If you have some extra cash, EBR sells a dongle that can reset the AFV (and do TPS resets and other wizardry) - http://www.erikbuellracing.com/store/cmi-lite-diag nostic-tool.html |

American Sport Bike shows all 99-09 bikes using the same O2 sensor, while looking in the parts manual, the part number changed for 2008+ bikes. S0131.02A8 on the older bikes, P0277.5AA on the newer ones. I've seen posts where the 12014 was used without issue on the newer bikes. |

Do the easy things first. replace the spark plugs. The gap is .035 change only when engine is cold, and use anti sieze. check plug wires. Check for any historic codes.{has ECM location change been done to this bike). |
