Made it to my destination and the bike shut off as if the kill switch were cut off, but it wasnt. Got power to the dash, but fuel pump doesnt cycle and it won't turn over. What do I check first? |

Sidestand switch? Fails pretty often and is probably first thing you should check: http://badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/47623/3 16734.html?1194408666 |

Sidestand switch is always suspect. If not, try swapping relays about, or just replace them. And try bypassing the ignition switch. Sounds like the accessory side of the electrical system is getting power, but the ignition side is not. Hope this helps, Dave |

Ok...after having birthday dinner w/my mom, I went out to my bike and checked the fuses. Blown 20amp ignition fuse. New fuse and she busted right off and got me 89.8 of the 90 miles home and it blew the same fuse. Any idea where to start the diagnosis? |

If its your s3, try disconnecting the speedo sensor. |

Ignition switch may be shorting out. Has happened to plenty of other bikes. |

I'll try the speedo sensor first, since that seems to be the most common issue w/blown ignition fuses when I search the forum. I replaced the ignition switch with the American Sport Bike one in 2012 when I was chasing down another running issue; have had no issues since that time. However, it wasn't blowing fuses then either. |
