I posi locked it into the European driving light, but it is off on high beam. The accessory power outlet turns off on my 08 when voltage drops. Without having to jump to the tail lamp wire, is there a handy wire to tap that provides power to the instrument lights? What's the color ? Thanks for your help! Dean | ||

I posi-tapped into the instrument cluster wire for my volt meter. A quick look at the wiring manual suggests that the only switched 12V is the R/BK wire. Bike's put away for the winter, so I can't confirm that is what I used. It seems that wire is on the 15A keyswitch circuit. | ||

I have mine tapped into the power wire to the turn signal relay. If memory serves, it is orange with a black tracer. | ||

Mine is the Kuryakin connected directly to the power socket of the front part used crimps that are like an "m" so it was dead easy and work fine. | ||

I posi tapped it into the turn signal relay wiring & the second of the green lights on my kuryakn flickers a bit now??? Just wondering? Dean | ||

what about the headlight center parking light? the IC is cut out at 10v, but i think the headlights run all the way down. | ||

Did you or the previous owner switch the center parking lamp and low beam wires so that the low beam is 'always on'? In that case you need to tap into the low beam hot wire, cuz it used to be the European center headlight parking lamp hot wire | ||

Yes, low beam is always on... I wonder if the kurakyn will still flicker if I move it from the turn signal flasher wires to the low beam? | ||

You want to connect to the closest direct route to the battery without other big demands on the same wire. the accessory plug wire does it or a direct wire right back to the battery. | ||

The flicker is the equivalent of voltage being "on the edge" between one light and two lights...if that's your system output, you could wire direct to the battery and it will do it. Voltage isn't always a nice, neat, even number...or a steady light...  | ||

Dean, Joe isn't suggesting you connect to the battery. He's saying the Kuryakyn will still flicker there. I'd say you're good to go now. When the second green LED is flickering, you're just under 14V. Z | ||
