Ok, did a search and saw thread going back to 2005, and didn't see anything. So can an S3 fairing be easily mated to an S1? |

You would have to weld mounting tabs onto the steering head to mount the fairing bracket. |

Ah ha! So that's how it's held on! Hmmm |

It wouldn't surprise me if the S2 spacing is the same as the S3. Let me know if you need me to measure the tabs on my X1. |

S2 is completely different. S3 attaches at the steering neck. S2 attaches to the outer frame rail, before it pinches "in" to the steering neck. Nearly the widest point in the tank. |

Too bad, I was hoping he could use his S2 as a template. |

Yeah, I knew they were different. The S2 frame is completely different up front. That's what threw me. Just didn't know how exactly. I think it would be cool to do a quick disconnect, for easy on/off. And attaching at the steering stem would provide that. The information is much appreciated. Thank you again to all! |

The S2 Frame is completely different. Up front, In back, down low and up high. I love the S2! |

LOL I realized the S2 frame is different from the first day I bought one home! Have never seen an S3 frame though. |

That'll teach me not to go out to the garage. It looks like the M2, S3 and X1 all have the same arrangement up front for the fairing mount lugs. I should have the S2 going later on this week if all goes well. |
