we need Dave Leppelmeier to chime in here, my guess is he is runnning away with the title.....at the rate he was going he should have logged well over thirty, probably closer to forty by now. I've only been able to ride mine 2500 miles since June |

What is Dave Leppelmeier call sign on here?? HD still has not called me to tell me that my speed sensor is in yet. You know I think I'm going to open my own Buell dealership, F%^& this waiting on Harley Dealerships to get in the damn parts that should be on the shelves. |

Tedk...stupid question on your battery loosing its power... you didn't by chance leave it in the park position did you?? Or was it a malfunction of some sort? |

IN STOCK??? Does the owner know you are wasting his HD store inventory on those slow moving, low margin BUell parts? what are you nuts? how can you run a proper t shirt boutique with a bunch of motorcycle parts cluttering up the place? |

Im just over 17.5K, its hard to keep count ever since my Odo reset itself to 2888 last month for some strange reason. I told the dealership I dont care if they fix it or not when I dropped it off for service yesterday.. I think I might have the only problem with a Buell thats actually a benefit I'll be joining the 20K club sometime in FEB, you guys will just have to take my word since my odo wont prove it. |

Not quite Shazam, right now 25,142, but the original engine unit was retired at 23,065 miles. On the original motor, had transmission problem that F'ed up the cases, along with a bad cam and the resulting metal particles scoring the cylinders. Would have cost more to fix than the salvage bike I bought for the engine. I thrashed it pretty hard though.....hope to make it to 50K with this one. |

Dave, didn't mean that in a bad way.....Just similar in how much we love and ride these bikes and how we're experiencing some of the same shit-storms again....remember the Front rotor? please don't get me wrong, this is not a slam on Buell reliability. My motor has been torn down and built up on numerous occasions with many non-stock parts........

XB9rski: XB9 = Dave Leppelmeier Shazam: is that the crankshaft main bearing? ouch! I think Buell should hire us both as reliability test pilots. lol! |

Viros, Don't sweat it to much mine is still reading 19112 miles. I've been writting down my mileage everyday, it's real easy to do being that I know how far I ride everyday and on the weekends. If I don't know the mileage I have a friend keep track of it while we ride then log it into my owners manual. Buck, Thanks I'll keep that in mind. Full, .......True. Dave, Looks like are are currently the leader on the XB, I'm closing the gap though. How long have you had yours. I'm just over 9 months, average 124 a day and about 160 on the weekend when the wife's not complaining 180 if she is.....LOL |

So glad I live in Cali, that might be changing real soon though. The wife and I are going to Alaska next month to start looking for a house. I wouldn't move for another 3 years though, but she will be if she can handle the cold. I'll just stay out here until I retire from the Corps then move up there. Should still be able to hit 100k before I go though.

XB9rski... My father should be selling his house about that time... It's in Wasilla (well, about 8 miles out (SW)) and 4600sq'. 10 acres, attached 2 car (one realistically with plenty of room for 2-3 harleys AND the car) and a detached 10 car garage/shop. Excellent location and from what I hear an excellent price... Lemme know if you'd like to take a look at it and I'll get him in touch with you... Beautiful place, can't see any neighbors, cedar siding and roof, HUGE livingroom w/ vaulted ceilings large kitchen with "fairly modern" appliances. The stove is jen-air and I'm not sure about the rest. I personally can't stand the carpet though but it certainly serves it's purpose. Large entry way with a slate floor and enough room for at least five people to take off leathers/snowmachine suits... Intercom system throughout the house as well as a central vacuum system. I have personally hand fed moose off the front porch... The town is growing and I am quite sure that the value of the land will go up as it's a prime spot IMHO. edited by m1combat on January 16, 2004 |

Fullpower, We are going to be looking for a place around Anchorage, but not set totally on that either. As long as we are close to a dealership I'll be happy. |

if you dont like real cold weather, check us out down in the bananna belt. homer is usually 25 or 30 degrees warmer than anchorage in winter. harley shop up the road 80 miles, in soldotna. fairbanks also has a HD/Buell store, and they get 90 degree summers very nice up that way. |
