Well, I had my 08 1125R for almost three years. I am sad to say that last Sept. that someone made a decision to get rid of it for me... I had a car change lanes, from the right lane to the left lane, which put the car in front of me and then wanted to come to a full stop.... CRAP!!!!!!!! The Buell was totaled! I loved that bike. I went bikeless from Sept until now. I was looking for another Buell when I came across a steal of a price for a 2010 BMW S1000RR. I will say the TC and ABS is really nice. It has SO MUCH POWER!!! I think that I liked the 1125 for handling better but I haven't set up the suspension for me and the way I ride just yet. That may have something to do to with it. I know that I miss that Vtwin sound, especially since I had the HPE pipe on it, man it sounded good. I think that I will keep the BMW just because it's so damn, well, badass but I am still pulling for the EBR 1190's in the up coming Daytona 200, along with the other races this year. I think Erik deserves it after having to put up with H-D for so long. My wife thinks that I'm done with bikes for now since I picked up the BMW but I think I will pick up another 1125 or wait and see what EBR end up making. Also, to anyone that has helped and/or giving me advice with something on here, thank you.

If you find yourself in the market, New Castle Harley north of Pgh Pa as 2 2008 1125R's priced around $6K. One has 1100 miles the other around 6K. |

Yeah, I see nothing wrong with an S1000RR. I've not ridden one, but everyone I've talked to who has says they're absolutely incredible. |

For an inline 4 machine it would be my pick hands down. Very sinister looking I must say. |

I went for a demo on one of those and was thinking hard about it. But I just can't get used to the lack of torque at any thing south of 7k rpm. And my high-barred CR is just SO much more comfortable. With that said, that RR is an amazing bike. I thought the CR was fast, the RR is just plain insane... |

Looks sweet and I hope you love it. I've owned 2 Inline 4s, a GS750 and an XS1100 Special(Bagger). Both were great transportation but had NO soul. I get no joy riding a beehive. Loved the Harleys I had. The syncopated beat pacifies me. I'm stuck on twins. Vs especially but any kind is good. Yamaha, Triumph, Huskvarna verticals have been great. I brought a 500cc and 74" Indian home from the Philippines. Rode the Chief(74"), traded the Scout for a '53 Chevy Panel. I love two-wheelers, wow I really digressed... Z |

I was in and out of NS Subic Bay several times between 1979 and 1982. Navy, stationed in San Diego, on the USS Okinawa, LPH-3. We carried Marines, Helos and Harriers. I fixed radios - HF transmitters and flight deck headsets. I bought both Indians from Toby Telan up the coast in Subic City. Wish I still had the Chief - 1948 with a 1950 AeroGlide front end. Hijack over, Hope you really enjoy that Beemer, Mrrickbo. I wish you many safe and memorable miles. Zack |

So far I am loving it, in a way I agree with you(Zac4mac) but I'm starting to feel that the Beemer is live! She's showing me some soul, or maybe it's just the demon in her! I will say, I could start to compare my old 1125R to the S1000RR but it would be fair. Now, the 1190RS up against the Beemer would be something. I would like to see EBR 1190RS compared to say Bimoto and the other high end bikes. As well as an all around superbike compare. |

I believe that was done by Cycle World and they gave the 1190RS Superbike of the Year. I guess I'd like to have a machine so BAD that it NEEDS traction control to stay out of the ditch. Loretta and my Z-28 are close, but no cigar... if only I could afford a Z-06 and an 1190RS... Pure Adrenaline™ Z |

My $.02 is that the liter class (and smaller) supersport I4's are great race track designs made street legal. But I've described the 1125 as being a really great sporty street bike. Real world and all that. If I was looking for another track day bike I'd be finding some slightly beater I4, mostly because I love the 1125 so much as that sporty street bike I'd really not want to beat it as hard as I like to beat track bikes and certainly don't want to find the limits by crashing it and saying "ok the limit was back a bit". All being said, enjoy your BMW. |

wow man I just traded in my 1125r on a 2012 BMW s1000rr and couldn't be happier with the decision. I also went with black. I loved my Buell's but HD support was a joke at Destination Dayton and too be honest I don't turn many wrench's so it wasn't the bike I hoped for. The engine rules the rest not so much. This BMW feels night and day better simply because I can trust it. I could never get the quirks worked out of my 1125 though this forum and the fantastic community here helped. The throttle blip and constant electrical issues sent me BMW's way. Good luck too all with theirs. |

Wow, what a beautiful Beemer! What kind of MPG are you getting with that monster? I heard it was near 34-36 around what I get on my CR(on a good day anyways). Anyways congrats! |

Gas mileage I haven't figured out just yet. I think the tank is smaller than the Buell, it only takes like 15$ even at 3.90 a gallon. I will try and ride smart to see what she can do, so far, I haven't had a tank of gas where I didn't hammer it WFO!!! |

If you get into where you're starting to sort the handling, Jeremy Toye has done LOADS of work to straighten the RRW project bike and his company: Lee's Cycle Works in San Diego sells suspension links and other PROVEN mods. (PROVEN as in AMA and Macau podium) http://www.leescycle.com/ Taylor Made Racing has done a LOT of work on exhaust and bodywork: Taylor Made Racing Toye podium at Macau (Message edited by slaughter on March 15, 2012) |
