Just did the plugs and now have a slight hissing noise coming from the front area of the air box. has anyone encountered this and any ideas on backtracking the leak? |

After shut down, might be a loose spark plug; air escaping the head after compression stroke. |

What about the breather hose that goes into the airbox? |

Sounds like vent tube from gas tank. Front of airbox - hissing when bike is shut down. The easiest way to verify it to remove air box outer cover, warm bike up, place ear near or onto vent bung, listen closely. Good luck |

Just get a piece of tubing and stick it in your ear. A straw or some vacuum line. You'll find it quick. I use a mechanic's stethoscope with the end off. Z (Message edited by zac4mac on November 11, 2011) |
