Does anyone know if red XB12R plastics are available for purchase yet? Also, I have heard that Trojan Horse will soon be selling their half-fairing found on the Adrenalin-Moto racer...anyone else hear the same? Mike |

Dave, Do you know what lead times are? Are they available for shipment or backordered? I am ready to buy. |

damn dave you beat me too it. Bykergeek they should be available as we speak. But I can't be sure on lead time. The 12 airboxes are now on backorder. I have thought about that red too. I think it would look great on the silver frame. Brian Tilley hd/buell buckinfubba@hotmail.com edited by buckinfubba on November 30, 2003 |

Yeah , I don't know about the amber decals. I was thinking about using the white ones off the 2004 XB9R or the mirrored ones off the black XB9S. Can they be purchased separately? Dave, I should be ready to order in a couple of weeks. Mike |

that is amazing looking. i'm WAS thinking about getting the red 12r, but after seeing even a photoshop version, i'd rather do the plastic. i have to wonder, if you can buy the letters for the airbox seperate (i'm almost sure you can) how would you go about lining them up? edited by lothodon on December 01, 2003 |

Dave or Bubba, Are all the red parts available now? I would want the fairing, airbox cover, front fender and tailsection. I'll probably add the carbon chin spoiler next yr or custom paint my blue one. |

Yes they are available. On the S models it would be less, you don't need the fairing just the flyscreen. I'll figure that package up and post it in a little while. Gotta go sell a Road King now. Dave Iowa HD/Buell (Buell Cycle Center) |

ok not to step on daves toes but I was bored and figured what the heck thers more to this than originaly thought. total list: airbox cover decals 2 tail/fairung decals 3 tailsection 1 seat cowling 1 airbox cover 1 front fender 1 righ/chinspoiler 1 left/chin spoiler 1 rivets/chin spoiler 4 fairing 1 grand total $799.78 discount - 79.89 total $719.26 I just remmbered the decals on the chin spoiler add $6.93 to the total makes $726.19 the problem is this to get the red plastics you have to pay for the gold decals because thats how they come. but if you want the whites you will need to go this way. so there ya go....its cheaper than paint unless you know somebody. |

I went to the bike show a few days ago and saw a red 12R for the first time in person(or bike?) and wasn't real impressed... Now that photoshopped red 9R looks good... But I still like my Black 12R better... Just IMO, Kevin |

Kevin, What wasn't impressing? Was it the type of red or the color red in general. The only red XB's I have seen have been in photographs. Mike |

the red bike in person looks a LOT different to me than it does in the photos. i would never consider one based on the photos but after seeing (and riding) one i would. gotta remember photo's on the web are subject to monitor and video card altering. (color correction, gamma, white point, lots of stuff) |

It's just my opinion... It wasn't the color or shade of red just the the way it mixed with the amber and other details of the bike... With the amber screen, wheels, and decals I really think they set off the black plastic, especially with the darker frame... That said, if you like red and amber you'd probably like it...Nothing against the shade of red, it's cool, I just don't think it looks as good as the black with the amber stuff... Kevin |
