Can anyone tell me what manufacturer and p/n is needed to add a female socket to the ECM harness connectors? I've got an '08 XB and I'm working on adding a map, baro, and 2nd O2 sensor to the ECM (sockets 5, 6, and 31 are missing on the XB). The '08 XB service manual shows some Delphi Packard connectors, but nothing conclusive. Thanks in advance. |

The ECM connector is 34 Position or Place Tyco Sealed Automotive. The connectors are TE 4-1437290-1 (Gray) and TE 4-1437290-0 (Black). You can search for these parts to find the lead connectors. I have a catalog that may indicate the lead connectors. I have PM'd you. Reply to my PM & I will email it to you. |

Mouser has the pins. however they dont have the connectors yet. digi key shows both... Ecmspy on the pinouts page has the part numbers we found accurate... you can also find off and on, on ebay. Personally I keep finding the used harness the cheapest to get what you need. these pins are very small and use a special crimped tool to do correctly. they are not like the old style. these must be correct or they don't fit in well. |

Copied from Gunters Page... The sockets and plugs are manufactured by Tyco AMP, and are from the AMP Superseal 1.0 mm product line. The sockets are keyed to prevent accidently swapping plugs. The AMP part numbers are: 2-1437285-3 - for the black socket 3-1437290-9 - for the Grey socket These plugs are apparently available at Harley-Davidson/Buell dealers only. The connectors inside the plug have the AMP part number 3-1447221-3 and could be aquired at some third party stores much cheaper. The pin are counted from upper left to lower right, as shown in this AMP technical drawing. http://www.tycoelectronics.com/commerce/DocumentDe livery/DDEController?Action=showdoc&DocId=Customer +Drawing%7F2-1437285-3%7FO5%7Ftif%7FJapanese%7FJPN _CD_2-1437285-3_O5.tif |

Thanks very much folks! I have another question, however... would someone be able to tell me what gauge wire was used for the baro, MAP, and secondary O2 sensor signal wires? I guess it doesn't really matter as only one retailer has any connectors in stock (TE 3-1447221-3). These are for 16-18 gauge wire, which I believe is what's used on the XB. My office has all the crimpers necessary for this stuff. Shouldn't be much of an issue to wire in. Can't wait to get it all done and see if the bike runs smoother!
