The dealer can be your best friend or worst enemy. If you spot some fake reasoning run to the next shop. |

+1 on the brake question, that is surprising that you've had that many issues with the braking system. Good luck man, hope they get it all sorted for you. Ask them about a loaner bike, its worth a try. On my last warranty job (which was going to take a week as they had to order the part - my clutch reservoir was leaking, had to order a new gasket for it) they gave me a loaner bike. It was a HD Fat Bob or Fat Boy or something. Nice bike, but made for someone about 6' tall, my legs were a little short for the pegs to be ultra comfy. But at least I got to stay on the road for that week |

I can't believe someone could have that many problems with the brakes. Sorry to hear that. Hell I have over ten thousand miles and my brakes are still the original. Maybe I should take another look at them. |

My '08 1125R had rear brake issues too at low mileage. Warranty replaced pretty much the whole rear braking system. I don't know what the problem was / is, but it wasn't due to anything I did or my riding style or resting my foot on the brake lever... kind of irks me when they asked me the same thing. You could tell by the way they asked it that they assumed it MUST be me, because they didn't see any reason why the rear brake would drag on its own.. Oh well. I think it still drags a little even since they fixed it. Occasionally when I'm rolling back or moving slowly I can hear the pads sort of whine on the rear rotor. Something that I don't experience on any of our other 4 Buells. In this case - YMMV! |

I bought my CR from the local dealership's rental program. I asked for and got the service history on the bike and the only problem listed was replacing the rear brake. I had just assumed that Harley guys were the ones renting it and never used the front brake and so smoked the rear. It would scare the holy crap out of me to try to stop that bike with only the rear brake. |

>>>>HD will give you the runaround as well as the dealer That's inaccurate information. There are some REALLY good folks at Harley-Davidson who handle the Buell Customer Service. Treat them the way you expect to be treated, be honest, be persistent and they can solve your problems pronto. Act like an and they likely will to. Human nature I think . . . |

i'm with Court Debbie and the crew are really nice and very good at what they do. if there is a hangup it's almost always gonna be at the dealer. that being said it's likely a compound reason. they don't to work on Buells most likely because they have no Buell techs.... |

Mrcjoy8.... i hate to hear about your luck, and with enough time the dealer will eventually get it fixed.... SOme parts are just back ordered.....When you get to 7 MONTHS and 3 days wait time.... then let me know... that's how long the dealership had my bike.. Now granted they KNEW i was out of the country for a while, so i'm not for certain if the dealer took advantage of that, but after 1 call to HD i got the bike back in 2 weeks..... It sucks but sometimes with parts being scarce and backorder it can be the reality... I had a slew of issues fix on my bike also, the main one being the cluster and ECM not talking.... I did get it back the bike was wonderful for the 1800 miles i racked up in 2 weeks.... HAng in there, call HD, Be calm and patient. thats my best recommendation.. |

I just said oh well. I'm now writing a demand letter of what I want..... we will see. So if they don't know how to fix it ....why would u think I would own it. |
