Was Travis McGee still in Cedar Key? That's what old John MacDonald said. Sorry, had too, it's the Parrothead coming out in me. Love reading about the adventures you're having. You'll probably never know the number of people living vicariously through you right now. |

I really love the St. Augustine area... a quick afternoon however does not do it any kind of justice. Try to plan on a camping night there in Anastasia State Park if the weather is cooperating. Its one of the the top 3-4 in the state if you ask me. Its kinda like Key West, you gotta slow down to get a feel for it. The park's site |

St. Aug is only 35 miles from where I am. If you want, give me a holler & we may be able to meet up. |

St. Augie is the oldest city in the country, isn't it? Then hit Savannah, too, for the Old South arky-texture & feel. |

+1 St. Augustine and Savannah. Worthwhile stops. And yes, St. Augustine is the oldest city and one of the coolest in FL. If you enjoy history, check it out. A1A from Ormond Beach up is a perfect ride on a sunny day. Faceshield up, and ahhhh, just breathe. Seems like a great trip so far. Safe travels! B. |

St. Augustine rocks! The old city part 's especially - is the bluegrass bar with the raining windows still across from the old mill pup/restaurant? The lion's Bridge was not far from there - the place is picturesque to the tenth power. Your gonna love it! Go Char Go! EZ |

+ One on A1A from Ormond bch to St.Aug. Then take FL13 from St. Aug to Jacksonville. It has some nice sweeping corners & a good view of the St.John's along part of it. (It's the historic Bartram Trail) |

Well it took over an hour... it was roughly 60 feet down a cliff and I was helping out directing traffic... Buelltoberfest at Wolf Pen Gap last October. Jeff calls it Black Bull, but we all know its real name is Flying Squirrel. |
