I've also been really tempted to pick up a yellow Blast just for kicking around. Can't beat the price but can you get a Blast up to the hiway speeds? (no insult is intended just wondering, I've never ridden one) |

I've done 13k miles on a Blast in the past 12 months, if 95mph is highway speed, then yes. Also be sure to get purple plastics, it increases the sleeper factor for when you want to piss off the 1125R riders that can't ride |

Unlike Froggy my Blast tops out about 87 MPH (Indicated). Also, unlike Froggy I weigh a good 210 LBS w/my gear on, stand 6'1" and act as a wonderful sail with the riding position I adopt on my Blast! No Prob's w/acceleration and 85-90 is plenty for the traveling I do. (Purple? The new Black) Chris C |

75-80 is plenty fast for me as long as there is some oomph left if you need to get out of the way real quick. I read people doing 120+ on their X1s and that's impressive but I've yet to break the 90 mph mark on mine. But I do have the comfort that I'm only one downshift away from getting myself out of trouble if a cager decides to wallow into my lane. Purple? Hmmm?! |

The Blast is plenty quick enough. I've had mine to an indicated 95 mph. Just testing, I backed off, it had a bit more. It does have all the pro series stuff, cams, intake exhaust and the nose cone ignition. It also has Crossroads rearsets and XB City Cross bars, 17" wheels, chain drive and soon an M2 frontend. Bought it real cheap with only 3200 miles. Was a Charlotte Riders Edge bike that had gone through three owners in four years. It's a ton of fun, but, traffic often mistakes it for a "licker cycle" scooter because of the small size. Gotta really pay attention! |

Have a 2000 Blast which is a "BLAST" to ride ... Put a XB12 motor sprocket and chain for higher INTERSTATE gearing ... It will run almost 90 MPH with me setting up right and "i" weight 250 pounds/6'3" ... |
