There is a brand new, 0 mileage, never registered 2002 M2, grey with orange frame and orange wheels sitting at Eastern Harley Davidson in Riverhead New York. I did not believe it first but talked to Stan and they are asking $7K for it and he said it is well below what they paid for it back then.
I think it is the most beautiful color combination in a Tuber. Just wanted to let you guys know...Maybe old news for some of you.

That's one of the best color combos in my opinion but at that price it'll never be in my garage.

I paid $7,400 for my Volcano Grey/Orange framed M2 with PM wheels brand new in the summer of 2002. A 0 milage bike like that today might be worth the $7,000 to a collector.

I'd still ride it for all it was worth though, but that's just me.

I'm pretty sure they will negotiate on the price if someone is serious. It is hard to put a price on a bike like that but I would rather have this bike than buy an average 800cc Jap bike for the same price.

If you are going to ride it, $7,000 new vs. $3,500/$4,000 used is a very valid arguement. I would be inclinded to lean towards the used bike and buy some goodies to go with it. Of course I was unbolting parts off my bike as soon as I got it home. Heck, I still got the stock exhaust in the garage with only 15 miles on it.

I don't see too many used M2s in that color combination coming up for sale. I think I've only seen one in the past couple of years. But then again I haven't been actively looking for one so who knows...

spoke with Mike there. he stated that the bike, though never registered or ridden, doesn't come with the warranty. plus, I have been in and out of that store for many years, and although they are nice guys, they don't seem to really love the Buell. Take it for what it's worth.

You would have to be in it from a collector's standpoint, or else to be crazy and let your emotions about the bike get the better of your judgment. Maybe that's what they are hoping for.

To me, $7k is really two Buells with plenty to choose from. I could buy a Touring bike and a Sport bike for $7K or any combination, plus would probably have a lot of the goodies already on them.
You could also have one painted in that scheme a lot cheaper if that's what has your eye.
Doesn't sound like buy from them is going to endear you or your Buell to them once it's gone.

There's one on ebay right now, in PA. 1800 miles, full Buell race kit, $3800 IIRC. Volcano gray with orange frame and orange wheels.

I'm not at liberty to share any details, but that bike is sold and for a lot less than the $3800 asking price. If you plan on riding the bike, it just doesn't make sense to buy something with 0 miles on it when you have examples like this PA bike out there.

The thing about a zero miles bike is it's only factory new once. This is a collector item - something that someone still won't ride because it'll be even MORE impressive when it's still got 0 miles on it 30 years from now.

How much do you think a bike like this would be worth 30 years from now?!
