Scala Rider is the way to go, assuming Apple isn't somehow locking you out with the Bluetooth. |

Well, you will pay for the best on the market. I need to upload a sample clip I took with my Scala Q2, People don't even know I'm on a bike below 70mph. About the battery life, mine lasts all day connected but not being used. I have read that it will get 4 hours of talk time, but I haven't tested that. I love having mine paired up with my Garmin Zumo GPS so I get audio prompts for directions, and can listen to XM satellite radio with it too. |

Bluetooth is cool, but noticeably drops play-time on my original iPhone. Mine is so old, it doesn't have A2DP anyway so I can't listen to music over B/T without an adapter. I like the looks of that headset, I may have to get one for the trip to East Truy for Homecoming this June. Z |

You have to be careful with the Cardo Q2 as it isn't A2DP, but others say they can link up with it (I can't on my ipod touch). Cardo is supposed to have the new scala out soon with A2DP, but no release date and expensive. The Zumo 550 is great, but XM radio does not broadcast on bluetooth. The bluetooth is not A2DP, so the quality sucks. The new 600 series Zumo is A2DP. I've done a bunch of fiddling around with a Zumo 550, Samsung Saga smartphone, ipod touch...the only thing I could get to work to my satisfaction (and on a regular basis) is plugging my helmet into the zumo for XM and the music player on the Zumo. I can link the phone to the Q2 headset 100% of the time (for phone, not music), but the phone isn't something I want when riding. I have never been able to link the ipod touch with either. I also have never been able to link the phone through the zumo to the helmet with any consistant success. |

It does work via bluetooth with my Motorola phone listening to MP3s on the micro SD card. However, it kills the battery in my phone very quickly. Not good for all day riding. Most of the time I use the FM radio feature of the Q2 for music. I will likely buy a new G4 and give the Q2 to my wife this summer. |

I have the Cardo G4. Froggy is right, you cant tell your even on a bike. If you need a sound clip, here is one from MRN.. Its from when H-D dumped Buell. They are testing the 2010 1125R. The rider is on the Cardo Q2 http://feeds.radioamerica.org/podcast/MRN/audio/MR N_sat_31-10-09_H1.mp3 |
