The photo was from the Product Development Center, those were all prototype testing bikes not intended for public sale. If you look closely under the Uly's you will find all kinds of old bikes including XB9 Lightnings. All manufacturers dispose of old prototypes like this. |

Wonder if they had a private company haul that can off? If that was here in town, I'd be calling up my old man for a Roll Off and would be buried in bikes looking for good parts. |

Louisiana_xrider, maybe I am misunderstanding, but did someone BUY that dumpster full of bikes? Or did someone buy the dumpster? |

Nobody could of legally bought it. There were MANY things pictured that weren't for sale. The bikes were heading to the Blast Cubing Machine. Kevin is right above, they do it for liability reasons. Occasionally a handful get saved for museums and such. Here is a high res version of the photo, you can see more details like "BUELL" embossed in one of the frames http://www.froggypwns.com/coppermine/albums/userpi cs/1110091507a.jpg |

Would have been nice if they could have skinned those frames for cool wall art. |

I understand the legal liability, but that's an awful lot of wasted spare parts. |

Louisiana_xrider, maybe I am misunderstanding, but did someone BUY that dumpster full of bikes? Or did someone buy the dumpster? I know that the dumpster FULL of bike was one of the pictures that they had under there listings. I only went through the pictures. I did not look at the piece by piece breakdown of the list, as it was so long and in small font.
