This thing has such a nice deep tone and way more in everyones budget. I have no surging like my fmf gave me. I also had the 062 flash with the fmf I like this even better. |

I have no opinion on the pipe itself, but I would give this pipe a new name immediately. |

Sounds great at idle (God knows I've watched every video at least 1000x) ... does it maintain that deep tone at higher revs without getting too treble? How's it in loudness ... easily modulated with the throttle to be reasonable but just as easily cracked open? And which one did you get? Oval single outlet? Maybe "Keda-Design Type 1" for the original, "Type 2" for the dual outlet? I hadn't really thought about naming my exhaust systems, but with people naming their bikes, maybe I should. Josh, yes, it keeps that tone up to about 8k rpm, then it really starts to open up to a pretty good roar. There's no real "drone", it just has that old school thump to it. At low rpm, you'd almost mistake it for a well tuned HD motor/exhaust, but get it up there in the revs and it sounds even better. It never gets a high pitch tone, it's always deeper sounding than pretty much any other I've heard yet on an 1125R. There are a few out there, Jack's just the first one to post here about it. There will be more eventually. |

I've just been calling them KEDA I (oval single), KEDA II (oval dual), and KEDA III (round) in my head. I suppose it's because they're in chronological order of when they came about. I'm glad to hear about how they sound under load (revving in neutral and revving under load definitely produce different sounds). Good luck with finishing up the round can, I'm kinda' stoked to hear it rev and maybe a drive by as that's the best looking pipe I think there is other than the FMF full. I don't think the volume's gonna' bother me. From the first video of it it sounds on par with the Jardine ... definitely under the D&D. And that was in your shop, too ... outside should be a few pegs down. (Message edited by JeepinBueller on March 03, 2010) |

Dean I am glad our little project is getting out to fellow Buellers... most importantly I am still VERY happy with my little mod. Thanks again. BTW... I'm coming by to see you next week. |

Excellent, just call the day before so I know when. Best time is still in the mornings. Very happy to hear it's still the way you wanted it. |

D, I second that you need a catchy name. Also, can you point me to the thread with pics? "Sounds" like you might have a winner on your hands. |

Dean, Did you notice any considerable increases in heat due to the motor most likely running even more lean with a through pipe design? I'm just curious because I plan on building my own pipe (not to sell) and am worried about the bike being too lean...been thinking of ECMspy to richen it up before I start the build... |

Not that I've noticed, a/f ratio has been constant, it's not running any leaner than it was in stock trim. Adding fuel will most likely net a decent gain in power as well as slightly cooler temps. It's been kinda cold here, but I've been riding anyway. I did some fuel mileage testing today, at 60 mph, instant showed 55 mpg. At 65 it showed 48-50 mpg. 70 mph got me about 43-44 mpg. Drafting behind a 18 wheeler doing 60, I got 62 mpg. Unreal. I also made it a point to check my afv's, they're both 100/100. With the Jardine I had on it before, it got all the way up to 120/115 or somewhere close to that. |

Wow. Since I've had my bike I've been getting 25mpg average, hahaha! I beat it like a rented mule though It's good to know you're not noticing a leaner condition...that gives me confidence to tackle this earlier than I thought I would. Thanks for the response. |

D_adams- I really like what you have done. I'am interested in your round can exhaust, it sounds awesome. Sounds different than anything that I've heard through all these sound clips, like it was made for the BUELL. -What were the dyno runs on the round can? -Was there ecm installed during the dyno run? -How much does the round can exhaust cost? Also, IMO I think you should stick to naming your exhausts' D_adams. It has a ring to it, not flashy, but people will know where it came from. Build it and they will come. |

I have not run the RT Type 3 round can on a dyno yet, it's scheduled for Friday of next week. No ECM changes yet, that will happen later. I haven't set a firm price on it yet, I am still sorting out a way to make it re-packable. |

ecmspy works on 1125's as well? I have a lot to learn about these new beasts. |

ECMspy currently is limited to checking and clearing the trouble codes. |

oh ok. Somebody needs to convince the ecmspy creator to give us a new version for the 1125. |
