okay spoke to john at adamecs for an update today. no ETA as they don't have parts and are asking tech line if there is anything else they can do. i think he's more tired of seeing my bike for the same problem than i am. also asked if he had update on cluster failure said that they wanted to put a new ecm in it. we'll see what's up. i got to thinking and can't help but wonder if there is a crank shaft or a transmission shaft alignment issue? maybe that's what's causing the continued failures? dunno just talkin out the side of my head i guess. |

What's wrong with your cluster? I'm surprised my clutch has not leaked yet. Over 1700 miles and no leaking yet. I'm taking it to hpcycles in lake city soon, so it will probably start leaking then. |

cluster flipped back to all zero's on me back in jan pulled the fuse as suggested here that allowed it to poll the ecm but i still lost about 260 miles from the experience the initial idea from harley tech was new ecm and cluster however with the gnomes all sent home they said there is no one to prog mileage into new unit so left dangling they seem to be interested in helping but seem to be hamstrung by no gnomes |

They were Elves, and the IC or ECM will get info from the module NOT replaced. HD speedos need to be set, Buell's do not. A new IC will run a 30 minute countdown after connecting. After the 30 minutes, it is "married" to the system and contains mileage, historic DTC, VIN etc. Zack |

Zac thanks for the correction Elves not gnomes. and yes if doing one then no big deal but tech line said both. now i realize that replace one let it marry then the other and badabing good to go. but i am left with what i was told. think i'll speak with John and suggest the one then the other method and see what that gets me. |
