Good info... I just realize i have a thing about buying low production rides. My SVO is 1 of 1500 made in 1985 and only 9800 were made for the 3 years of production. My Mazda Speed 3 was only made for 2 years at a production level of 5000/yr My Jeep Diesel is like 1 of 10,000 and now i see my R is 1 of 5836.... Good to see i don;t like cookie cutter rides.  | ||

I know what you mean. My 08 Wrangler Rubicon may be a little more common, but my 93 Cobra is one of less than 5000, and also have an 08 R and 09 CR. | ||

The Blast is the Rodney Dangerfield of the Buell world - it just don't get no respect. My totally uniformed guess is that this is the most plentiful Buell of all. Take the number of Riders Edge programs and multiply by 12. Also, the Blast remained virtually unchanged for all of its life, whereas tubers begat other tubers begat XBs begat 1125. I'll bet Court can answer your question to withing a dozen or so. | ||

Cool. My 1125r is 1 of 5836. I have no idea what my HD is, but its an 09' Ultra in the custom color "Big Purple Metal Flake". Being they were only offered for a couple months, I can't imagine there were a ton of them. My Sportster? A dime a dozen. But I'm ok with that. | ||

and now i see my R is 1 of 5836.... My 1125r is 1 of 5836 Numbers restart every year. Mine is number 60 for 2010. I'm guessing that Justa4banger and Skratch have different year models. | ||

I don't think they were saying "mine is #1", as in the first one...I think they meant it's one of the ones built. The *sequencing* restarts. Total production is what's listed as 5836. For example - my 89 Shelby is one of 500 built. One of 15 with its option package. The dash and engine plaques list it as #135, which is correct according to the VIN lists I have from the factory showing every one of the 500. As for actual sequencing, though...I'd have to dig through my documentation to find out what order the 500 were built in, and where mine fell in the lineup. | ||

I wasn't commenting on any particular year. Just that I had 1 of 5836 motorcycles. As far as the exact sequence of which bike I have in regards to what they made in 2009, thats not overly important to me. | ||

You can't. Most people look at the last 4 digits of the VIN, but that isn't accurate as it was not sequential. | ||

well dang just frustration all the way round today with this thing last 4 on mine is 3264 which seems highly unlikely for an 08 that or it was one of the last 08's made but thats incorrectly assuming sequential numbers sooooooo | ||

My 2010 has June 09 on the neck. Since I'm pretty sure it was used for the marketing photos (due to similar markings on their photos and my bike) I'm guessing it was built earlier in the year for that purpose. Just a guess. |
