There was a thread a few weeks ago about the limited edition lower fairing panels shown in an Australian magazine print ad of an 1125R with angels wings. At the time I said I wasn't sure they even existed as my dealer hadn't seen or heard of them, and I was unsure of whether they were a H-D/Buell Australia thing, or if they'd been designed in East Troy (as Court had stated when the ad first came out). They're not a Christmas Zebra, they do exist! I have seen a set of the black and grey fairings this morning, they look pretty freakin' cool, they do say "1125RS" and I should have some pictures and part numbers to post tomorrow . (Still no luck on part numbers for the individual decals though) cheers, chili |

Yeah, I know Sorry dude, I was running around town this morning and I got a phone call from the dealer saying he had something to show me... It was a flying visit and I didn't even get to take phone pics... |

>>>r if they'd been designed in East Troy (as Court had stated when the ad first came out). Winged Pegasus actually designed by a nice young man on Sydney Street in Milwaukee. |

Court, I believe Chili actually meant where the whole fairing scheme was designed, as it has 'engineered in East Troy' but they are only supposedly available in Australia and N.Z. They have no pegasus on them, just the additional 1125rs decal. ....and to rub it in a little further to you other guys... Chili is actually leaving out one small detail of 'the call' he received.... The dealer has decided to GIVE him the fairings for his birthday tomorrow as a nice gesture for loyal custom. Yes...you read me right...GIVE! He had no idea until he got there that this was their intention. Glen just took him to the office and showed him. He was still grinning when he got home. He was riding today, so we go and pick them up tomorrow. I can't think of anyone better for them to go to. They will be a prized possession in his hands...lucky S.O.B! |

"Aren't they standard on all black 1125r's?" Hey Peter, is that tongue in cheek or serious? I assume that's your bike, it's the first I've seen with the panels. When did you get your 1125R, and when did you get the panels? I have been chasing up my dealer (M&W, Brisbane) for weeks to find out what the story is with these panels and they said they were getting no information about them from H-D Australia until now. I picked up my panels today, they look mighty nice. I'll hopefully put them on over the weekend...
And here's the part #, I hope this helps you guys track them down. Is the HDA prefix the only difference to the normal black ones? From some of the labels on the box and delivery docket they were made in August or September.

I wonder why they threw a "s" in there or what it stands for. I don't think the sell these in the us seeing there is nothing about em on our web site. I like em because there not just plain black like the ones here in the states but I don't know if I like the gray at the bottom. Still very cool! |

My guess is the (pre-Oct 15) plan was to install the fairings on some bikes and these "RS" model bikes would just be a bit different and get a bit of exposure. |

Look! It's a chupacabra! That's awesome Lemon. Congrats. And since mine is white/blue, it wouldn't look right, but if there is a 24"x36" poster or something anyone knows about, has a good jpeg, etc., I'd love to have one for the man cave. (Message edited by Chopped_Burban on December 22, 2009) |

I would love to have a set of these fairings... i might just vinyl wrap mine to copy it... Sad thing is , that these are made in the good ole US of A and us Americans can't even get em here. SO how much is shipping from Aussie land ANYWAYS????? |

Lemonchili_x1, tongue in cheek Got the bike a few weeks ago, and got the panels last week. I've had to fit all sorts of extra spacers to try and keep it off the exhaust, but when I ride the wind pushes it back again. I've ordered extra heat shielding to put in there, but have read somewhere else that there might be a new mounting kit coming? As mine were sent to me and I fitted them up I'm guessing I would probably get a warranty claim knocked back if they melt. Something to keep an eye on. |

Thanks Peter, very interesting. I wonder how many sets made it here? I'll fit extra spacers and I have some rock-wool and foil tape from work which should help too. "Sad thing is , that these are made in the good ole US of A and us Americans can't even get em here." If H-D hadn't shut down Buell I'm guessing these would have been available, and who knows what other goodies |

As far as I can tell it's one *big* decal on each panel. |

Lemon: If you get a chance send me the HIGH RES photos of the fairings. I'm sure we'll be looking for them for the next book we are working on. Thanks, Court |

I was going to have my fairing sides painted to match the bike, but it would look like a Michelin Man. In the end the black works. I'll get a back front fender and think for a while. I don't think the decals would work with white.
