Thanks Froggy. I'm 10/08. My poor bike. She was the only Buell in the dealership when I bought her. She was there for 13 months. How many did she spend by herself with all those big, mean, chrome, air-cooled machines? |

interesting... Top of page See Typical Buell V.I.N.: 2009 XB Models and Buell V.I.N. Breakdown: 2009 Models. The full 17-digit serial number or Vehicle Identification Number (V.I.N.) is stamped on the right front of the frame near the steering head. A label with the V.I.N. is also affixed at the same location. A Motor Identification Number is stamped at the base of the front cylinder on the left side of the vehicle. This number includes the motorcycle type code, engine type, market configuration, model year, model, and sequential build number. Example: DX039700456 NOTE: Always give the full Vehicle Identification Number when ordering parts or making any inquiry about your motorcycle. Typical Buell V.I.N.: 2009 XB Models Buell V.I.N. So in theory each sequence code would start at 00001 for each market designation type market configuration model year assembly plant model and if any thing gets changed then start from new one from 1. |
