929.00 for exhaust.... wow Proud aren't you... Had you said 500.00 for the exhaust and 600.00 for the tune... i could buy off on that... tuning takes time, exhaust...ehhh It sure is pretty though.. |

I don't want to get banned for questioning the legality of software and it's uses. I deleted it. |

Been here one day and getting on a person who has perhaps more hours on the dyno than the factory. |

By looking at there site it makes some nice improvements but I just don't know about 929.00 for it. If I could get one used someday for around 600.00 I would do it. if the stainless looks better. |

Hellgate....... Does me being new to this board really make a difference? 1000.00 for ANY exhaust systems is quite pricey, Don't you think? Also if proper tuning is available, then tuning ANY exhaust for maximum potential is the proper way to do it, and i could easily justify paying for proper ECM tuning... more so than a "tuned" exhaust. |

What would be really interesting is too see if we can do a group buy... The price of the exhaust go's down. It costed me a little more then 1000 dynoruns too make it. Don't talk about the amount of dynoruns it took me to get the fuelmap for the stock ecm right. I doubt anybody will make a better fuel map.. Becuase nobody is paying to do this That's why i put the time in it and sell it too you guys.. Grandstand, doesn't have the latest flash from me.. CCryder will drive the ultimate combination, the flash grandstand has is for the race ECM, not for the stock ECM, We burn them ourselfs into the ECM, with our own developed software and it is not for sale. We would love too make it as cheap as possible too have fun, and show all of you open and honest wat we do and how. |

d_adams, if you look at this article: http://www.twinmotorcycles.nl/artikelen.asp?aid=56 You see how we build it and tested it. You will not believe how critical I am in making my fuel map. I take days and days and days and days too make them. I am now working on a XR1200 I will also make a article about tuning a stock bike and different stage 1 mods. I doubt anybody in the world will make a better fuelmap... Becuase nobody besides the factory will put that amount of time in a fuel map for a bike not even the factory. I even think they don't have a propper airco installed which is big enough too keep the engine cool, i got schaed when I put my 02 sensors in the headers and start measuring... brrr... You need too be a little crazy too do what i do, it's cold.. a lot of noice and every day makinf 6-8 hours in that room makes you a little bit crazy.. But i like happy customers... |

I went to Grandstand Designs and bought the Torque Hammer and their tuning services. I have to say, I like the black pipe because it looks similar to the stock pipe, like it was designed just for this bike. The sound is perfect, fit was also perfect, and the performance is what I expected. I am pleased and can highly recommend it. I have had it on track days and it ran perfectly. (jeez, I should find another adjective besides perfect) |

Easyrider... Its good to know that you put so much time into the actual tune of the ECM for these bikes. I guess i comment earlier was more about being surprised that tuning cost much less than the exhaust itself... For mods i have made on other vehicles the actual hard parts weren't that expensive, but i have been known to drop 1500.00 on getting those parts "tuned" to work in harmony. the end result is a machine that performs better and performs as it should. |

"Hellgate....... Does me being new to this board really make a difference? 1000.00 for ANY exhaust systems is quite pricey, Don't you think?" Oh just the fact that you don't know what you're talking about. No I don't think $1,000 for a proper, well designed exhaust system isn't too much. I think paying a basement price for an untested POS is a complete waste of money however With the TH you are getting a know commodity, with others...not so much. Besides I think Dris squared you away. (Message edited by hellgate on November 01, 2009) |

Here are pics of the pipe in stainless
With faring on
It's a great pipe, and works best with the map from Easyrider. It delivers smooth power though out the rpm range. I've had mine since March of this year, it's worth the money. |

i tested the hammer and new fuell map at my last test n tune i ran 5 x nines before that only 1xnine also the hammer fits snug to the motor 40mm higher than the sarron i used before so i can lower the front more for better 60ft time witch i will try next year clip below shows the hammer in action if you want your arms pulling out of your sockets speak to dris http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lGGhoCkNFvk |

Easyrider, With the T.H. pipe and stock ECM remap, does the rider have to give the throttle a three-twist TPS reset every time the bike is to be started? I saw this method somewhere on a tuned 1125. One other ?, what is the cost of the s.s. version? Regards |

I have a few questions for both GrandStand Designs(GSD) and Dris(TM), Dris, you mentioned the fact that GSD does not have the most recent flash from you. Will they be getting this new flash and how does a customer go about having their bike flashed? (Send the ECM to GSD or to TM?) P_ squared posted the links to GSD and the individual prices of the pipe and the tune. Will those prices stay the same for the new flash and any new batches of TH exhausts? Does the BadWeb member discount apply on the pipe, tune, or both through GSD? Dris, I like your idea of a group buy to lower the price on the exhaust. Considering that prospective customers live all across the US (across the world for that matter) how would a group buy program work? Would you ship to each individual customer at a lowered price, or would a single person be in charge of distributing the exhausts to the members who were included in the group buy program? Thanks for all your efforts. Please keep us updated on the test results. |

If I have ECMSpy - can I backup my stock ECM before I upgrade to the TH tune, so if I have to take it in for warranty work, I can swap back? Or can I buy an extra ECM? How would that work? |
