http://www.jsonline.com/business/59803327.html I say Yes, it will certainly help! And if you don't know what winning they are talking about...

I especially like this quote about winning, and where he wants to win... "Heck, we have just started to do what we have needed to do with Buell, and I want a world championship now," Buell said. If that ain't an indication of what's to come, I don't know what else is. |

This is the line towards the end that I found compelling.... "Erik Buell said he didn't renew his employment contract with Harley-Davidson, although he isn't planning on retiring." Makes one wonder.... |

Yeah, what is up with that? And with rumors of Buell being sold? Is Erik taking the company out on its own again? The new Buell headquarters project was cancelled too... Saving money to buy itself from H-D? Wonder what is up over there. And don't forget the new logo - new beginnings? --Sean |

could he be entering the field of "dealership"? what better way to get the point out there and support the grass root racers. this would also give him/them the opertunity to rewrite the procedures of seeling/training/service of the bikes. also as a side note, most product improvements have come from racer/rider input, he will still have a valid input with E,B racing. Is Erik taking the company out on its own again? I can remember when H-D bought H-D back and brought them back from the brink. Why not? I'd love to see it happen. I wonder... We'll buy Buell back for X#$, and y'all can keep the Blast... |

US tariff on import sport-bikes over 500cc, 'til Buell 3.0 gets on its feet ? : ) |

Then there'll be lots of 499cc & under bikes. My first bike was a 700 cause of that tariff back in the day. I don't think that idea would likely help them. Might sow some bad seeds in the buying public. Though some smaller displacement machines, as has been called for on here, may bring more customers in. Tap into the younger/beginner market and hopefully they stick around if they move on to bigger bikes. |

It's really ironic in hindsight if you re-read this thread. |
