I took the plans that Treadmarks had supplied and decided to give his Tidy Tail a shot. Even with my limited skill I was able to put something together that I think looks pretty good. The only variations that I made were making it a tad longer so that I could mount the stock license plate light and using a little weatherstripping to provide some level of waterproofing. I also used just a hair thicker aluminum, (that I scored for free). Anyways, just wanted to say thanks and the Uly is awesome!

I put the lock under the seat, I know that it may be more exposed to the elements but it doesn't take to much to clean it, and it still works great. If you follow Treadmarks' plans there is one change you'll need to make, as you lay it out the distance between the top line and second line should be 4.3" if I remember correctly, not 4.7". |

Ha....What are the odds? I just installed a new exhaust system on my hyper and didn't like the euro style plate mount that came with the zard pipes. So I'm milling around in the garage looking for something to make a hyper plate mount out of and boom baby...found a spare uly tidy tail left over from 2 years ago. Hacked off the blinker mounts and drilled a few holes. I know it ain't no uly, but it's still alot of fun to work on.

I mounted the lock along the side so road grit doesn't get jammed into it. All of the wires are sealed in the box too so there's no wet funk building up over the next few years. Anyone want one? e-mail: rachrysler@aol.com
