I am a real estate appraiser trainee. One more month until I take my state test to get my license. I've been working on this for almost 2 years. My previous job was at a parts distribution center for Ford Motor Co. Took "the package" and got out of there in 2006. |

Hey Brumbear, my dad's a lift truck mechanic too! Works for MHI in Dalton (used to be Clarklift). I'm a textile pattern designer. I use a computer to design the 2 and 3 height patterns you see in tufted carpet, and also some more color-oriented woven carpets and rugs. Our industry is in the tank right now, thanks to the housing collapse. Luckily my department is the top of the production pyramid, so we haven't had any cuts yet. But my job is boring. I'd much rather be drawing comics, writing novels, and designing video games. Maybe one day............................................... .... ~SM |

I build construction hoists. The things you see on hi-rise buildings going up and down all day. I consult with the architects and engineers on the placement of and requirements of different types of hoists. Then I install, jump, maintain, diagnose/repair, and dismantle said hoist/s. I get the millionaire's view with the paupers bank account.
