If you remember the guy on the zx6 forum that let his inebriated friend drill through his ECM. Well you will love this. I suspect that this is a well crafted troll, but non the less it is still funny. http://www.mustangforums.com/forum/5-0l-general-di scussion/368307-im-done-with-this-car.html My car was idling like crap the other day so I figured since I just got it, it may have been awhile since anyone changed the oil out. I decided to go ahead and change the oil. I used Mobile 1 synthentic oil like I was reccomended on here. Anyways, I drain out the oil and noticed it was extremely dark and even after 10 minutes of draining, it was still coming out. I decided to go ahead and flush it to make sure all the bad stuff got out. I hooked up the hose, ran water through the engine, started it up and was waiting for the water to come out clean (The engine never went above idle so I was told this would be ok). Anyways, About 3 minutes into this, then engine starts shaking and shuts off. I figured it was all cleaned out so I plugged it up, added the oil and figured I was ready to go. WRONG! The car won't freaking start now. This car has been nothing but trouble for me, I think I am done with it. 25 pages of comments to seal the deal. BRAVO |

i sold auto parts part time in santa ana in the 80s, in an area where not many people spoke english. we had a guy come in to buy some "stop leak", so we sold him some bar's radiator stop leak sealant stuff. 10 minutes later he comes in pissed as can be...his motor quit and won't start!!!! so we go out there to discover he put it in his engine oil. rather than radiator, he thought it was for oil leaks!!! needless to say...no more leaks....no more run!!! true story...i was there...can give refs!!! |

Honest to God, I work with a guy who once spent 2 hours changing the oil in his MR2. He was having problems getting the oil back in... couldn't figure out why they made the hole so small. He was trying to pour the oil back in through the dipstick tube. True story. ~SM |

If you do a little looking, you'll notice that he posted the following in an earlier thread: "I would [take it to the shop] but I have a thing about other people messing with my car. Never know if they are doing stuff right." Famous last words. Probably a fake. I must say, though, that the members of this board seem way more helpful, patient and tolerant of noobs than some of the posters on that board. |

What an idiot. Everyone KNOWS you can't flush out OIL with plain water! If he mixed in some Dawn dishwashing detergent he'd have been okay! Some people... |

That's crazy!! {I think it's fake, like everybody said, "Nobody can be that stupid". And if you are, please don't populate I know a relatively intelegent person whos boat had cooling jacket leaks into the oil who tried to run the "gravy" out of the motor, Much to my horror I had to explain Why you could not do that, Now in his defence he is not from here originaly and does not think "mechanicaly", as soon as he was made to understand WHY you cant do that he was upset, further the whole problem was percipitated by an "mechanic" who replaced valve guides in the heads of the chevy engine with an air hammer damaging the heads. Its funny but all relative, remember Okra helps.. |

Reminds me of the joke about the 710 cap. A friend of mine's brother drained all the oil out of his 883 (mind you this guy is 6' 2" and probably 260) and freaked out when he took the oil cap off and the bag was still full. He'd drained the trans fluid. |

He'd drained the trans fluid. hehe.... I worked at jiffy lube at one time, and I hated working in the lower bay draining oil, its a really dirty place to be at down there and I wasnt having it!!! So it was my first few days there and I drained the transmission fluid on purpose and played stupid to my boss.. I never was allowed down there again |

I changed the oil on one car, I forgot what it was, but the oil drain was right next to the trans drain, and because of all the plastic shrouding I couldn't tell which one was what. I got lucky and my first choice the black stuff started coming out. |

I had a friend change the oil in his car and replaced it with gear 90w gear oil. To his defense he was a crack addict. |
