That has been around for some time. My wife has an even more special talent, she can converse three or four paragraphs without a single noun. Drives me nuts, and makes me always ask "what are you talking about?" I've tried to do it and cannot. Worse, she thinks I'm never paying attention! |

The concept is called "closure" and it's the reason I can type "F**k" and your mind assimilates the information as quickly as if I typed the entire word, properly spelled. That "research at Harvard" thing has floated around the internet since about 1995. Some of the more interesting studies of how we assimilate come from fighter planes. . . a lesson that Chevy learned following the introduction of the digital dash 1983 Corvette. |

Court, what the hell are you talking about? The only thing I even understood from your post was the word F**k!

I think it has more to do with context. Your brain is expecting the next word. For example, what word is this? pnsinulea You can figure it out, but it doesn't readily spring to mind. However if I said, Florida is a pnsinulea, you'd get it immediately. |

Court, correct me if I'm wrong, but there was no 1983 production Corvette. |

Wow. Off topic, but nice catch by 12x9. I just stopped a couple of cubicles down to check out my coworkers chart of 'vettes. 1982 'vettes were produced through Feb 03, and 1984 'vettes were produced beginning March '03. |

There were '83 Corvettes made, about 50 if I remember correctly but as Court stated that's when they came out with the digital dash and through testing and research ran '82 production long and started '84 early. The only known '83 in existence is at the museum in Bowling Green Ky. White with red interior, just like the first and just like the millioneth. There was a guy where I used to work who was always after something for nothing. I told him one day that I was in the market for an '83 vette and he asked if there was a finders fee, I told him I'd give him $300 if he found it. I let him look for several weeks. |

Kyrocket, yes you are right-44 '83s built, 43 of them crushed. I figured Court was talking about the testing, I thought I'd be a smart*ss. If you haven't ever been to the museum, it's worth going to; and while you're there go through the plant as well-pretty cool. My brother got to start one of the cars for the first time on the line during a tour. High-jack off. |
