Here's my XB9S, what do you guys think? See anything specific you think I should add to my baby? So far this is what I have on it... Micron Exhaust Tangerine Candy Paint-Job Cat eyes K&N Filter with Remapped ECM H.I.D. Low-Beams Cross Roads Zero Degree Bars Fender Eliminator I just bought new pegs, and I'm thinking about wrapping the headers, painting some plastics and maybe some other things. Let me know what you guys think |

Wow, that is sharp! Just the right amount of silver base and accent color. Not a big fan of the headlights though. |

Get some CRG shortie brake and clutch levers. Look really good though. I love the headlights. I don't know if I'd cover up the Micron with wrap though, you want to show it off. (Message edited by boney95 on January 20, 2009) |

ditch the passenger pegs, add a Corbin seat, maybe black wheels, oil catch can and +1 on the chin fairing center section in black. thats what i would do to finish it off EDIT: oh and upgrade to the '05+ belt and pullies if it hasnt been already. love the color, reminds of Sunset Orange Metallic that '01-'02 Camaros and T/A's came in. helluva nice bike! very nice and clean bike, congratulations! it's always very nice to see somebody keeping his bike in such good shape and well maintained. I'd lift up that head lights, there's too much space from the housing to the lights, it doesn't look good in my opinion. for the rest, just gas and tires!!!! |

Unscrew the "ground-feeler pegs" from the footpegs BEFORE you head for the twisties! This is the one performance mod that many people overlook - but trust me, the first time you grind one of them on the pavement, it'll make you FLINCH - and often in the worst possible place (leaned over, mid-turn. Lovely bike!!! Yer gonna have FUN! (What's all that white stuff you got there in the background?) |

Very Slick bike. Two things to take off. Rider stirrups with a chopped tail looks odd to me. You have a nice bike so go out and buy nice mirrors, put those back on the bicycle. No matter though, yours makes my bike look ugly. You should be very proud. |

Thanks Jay, sounds like we got some ridin' to do this year. Gotta show me the ropes. Nillaice: Not sure if I'm going to sell them or not, but I will let you know if I decide to once I replace them with my new ones. Boliver: I'm planning on taking off the whole passenger foot peg assembly. Just havent got to it yet. Thanks for all the compliments and the suggestions guys. Great looking bike! I'm with the rest, dhm sliders, ditch the mirrors, And I'll throw one in for roberst xb light. As far as painting the chin in the pic it looks like it matches the frame. But if it doesn't black would look good. |

Nice bike! as for suggestions well like 2008xb12scg said the chin fairing look like it fit the frame so I would leave it like that and if you want to do something with the wheels maybe paint the grey part the same color as the bike but leave the polish section. |

Hmm... I've often wondered if header wrap would help protect the headers in a right side lay down. I've seen a set of microns get scrapped pretty bad after getting laid down on a 12R. Seeing that Micron is not making them anymore, you might want to protect them as best you can. |

LOVE the color! Swap the stock headlight back on IMHO. Paint the chin fairing center black Ditch the peg feelers (not the whole peg, just the feelers) Paint the shifter and linkage black Don't wrap the headers! Those look sweet... |

Ditch the peg feelers (not the whole peg, just the feelers) why? Aren't they there so you scrape them before you lean past the point of no return? Not that I would know about that much lean (yet) |

"H2o how is your winter project going?"-Bishopjb1124 Fine thanks. Have you stopped by my thread lately? I painted the 'center chin' rusto- textured black...but haven't posted it yet. |

why? Aren't they there so you scrape them before you lean past the point of no return? Not that I would know about that much lean (yet) Yes, they are there to tell you when the peg is getting close to the ground. However, they're bad for three reasons: 1) The bike can lean significantly farther than where the feelers will first touch. 2) The pegs can and will fold up from the force of the contacting the ground, so the feelers are kind of a moot point anyway. 3) It'll scare the beejebus out of you when you hit the feelers the first time! #1 is the most important reason though. The bottom of the feelers are most definitely not the point of no return, as I've dragged my pegs w/o feelers many times w/o crashing. |
