Ok Folks need some help here. I am going to the show tomorrow with a friend from work. Said friend is shagging this chick that lives in PA. Well he mentioned to me that it would be great if he could continue on to PA after the show. Being the nice guy that I am, I agreed and will be taking the train to Providence. Well here is my problem. I need to get to Penn Station from the Dinosaur. Is there a subway I can take? Or can someone give me a lift? Dinosaur at 5 and the train leaves Penn Station at 7:30. Is that feasible? |

Looks like it's a no-go for me. Just booked a vacation to Florida for March and I need to save my pennies...even though I have family to stay with. No way I could ride down...it was 24 below this morning...it's gotten up to 0! I was told definitely next year... |

Am I gonna be the only one "representin'"? I'll be taking the Uly in about 4:00 or 5:00. I will be chillin' in the corner at the TT-Cycle spot. I will be sportin' that bad a$$ pink Buell hat. Tim |

Oh yea screw the Buell, its 15F degrees out, all the heated gear in the world won't stop hypothermia. Bullshit, I rode to work lastnight, -5 and was just fine. Court appearance and work schedule bar my attendance, enjoy.. |

We just got home. Had a great time, had some great BBQ. Drove over 400 miles. I have to get up in 5 1/2 hours to go to work. I'll post some pictures tomorrow evening. If you get a chance, go to the show. It's a breath of sanity in an insane winter. It was great to see Froggy, Jim and Mike at the Dinosaur. Court, you were definitely missed. |

http://www.dinosaurbarbque.com/index.php Going to the show Sunday. Would have liked the Dino. Been to the original one about 50 times and the second one once. Some summer weekend we should set up a Dino-trifecta and hit one each day of a three day weekend. Or all three in one day! |

W 131 street is kinda funky. Go down around Columbia on the Broadway side between 114th and 116th. They are 6 hour meters and the 1 train is right there. |

By the way West 131st Street has some of the coolest Brownstones in the city but (depending on what block yoiu are on) can be an ill advised place to park. |

The faired 1125 was in the Buell booth. Note the chain drive as well. The Buell area seemed fairly large this year with lots of bikes and appeared to be quite well attended. I showed my 2 keys and got 2 shirts as promised. The show itself was just OK for me. Nothing really stirred my soul. I was disappointed that MV was not there (I will own a Brutale one day). The Ducati booth did have the usual eye candy to drool over. Their new naked is very nice but a bit angular for my liking. The 1098 is a beautiful piece of motorcycle art but the ergonomics are just too extreme for me.
The Japanese bikes just don't do it for me with maybe the exception of the Honda CBR1000 RR. Yamaha is becoming absurdly "transformerish" and Suzuki and Kawasaki were ho hum more of the same old same old. I threw a leg over the XR1200 and it was nice but I'd never take it over my XB. Somehow HD has missed the raw visceral feeling of the real XR750.
Aprilla, Moto Guzzi and KTM had a few interesting bikes. BWW had a flood of adventure bikes that just have no appeal to me.Much to my wife's glee, I didn't come home with the hots to buy another bike this time. |

just got home from the show. i'd say it was kinda disappointing. the buell shirts are pretty dope, and that cr with the lightning bars was way comfortable. xr1200 still feels big and goofy (like a harley) and that duc streetfighter, looks better in real life than in pics, but it still looks unfinished to me. on a positive note, the new seats coming on the lightnings are great. i will be ordering one for sure. |
