Im gonna do my best to pull this off. If its a last minute decision is it impossible to find a place to stay? Is it Buell only or can you bring a Non Buell riding friend? |

I made it to the last 3 Georgia events, all 3 times it was a decision made at the last minute! For Buelltoberfest 1, I decided only hours before it started And its not Buell only, but be prepared to be mocked for your non-buell friends lack of shaking at idle |

AAAhhhhhhh. Good to be looking forward to something in the new year. Good to momentarily reminisce on the past few get-togethers I've attended in Suches. Good to post on the Badweb today. Not to be a downer, y'all, but I just got back from Nashville where my family and I had to bury my mother, after a mercifully quick and relatively painless death. Part of my adjustment back to my regular routines is my daily addiction to the nutty, intelligent, irreverent, informative, relentless dialogues we enjoy on this forum. Thanks for being there/here, y'ouns- I've dealt with my dad passing almost 20 years ago, but this- losing my mom- is all new. Get ready to 86 some squids with me, my friends, in the coming new year. Life goes on, and for me and mine, it goes by Fast and Twisted on the Buell. BTW- at this writing, there is a GREAT radio story on NPR's Fresh Air about the birth of the blues, and a new upcoming movie about it all. Good and serendipitous therapy for me today. |

So sorry to hear about your mother Brad. Losing a parent is difficult for any child regardless of when or how. Please let us know if there is anything we can do for you. Yep. Riding is in order. |

Just got back from a nice ride. I didn't go all the way up to TWO, but a nice ride none the less. These days have been full of stress for me, and a nice ride always does me some good. It's the great escape. I'm sooooooo looking forward to MB-VI. I can hardly believe we've been doing this for 6 years, and each year is better than the last, ok with the exception of last year's weather, but it was at least the biggest yet... |

Glitch- Speaking of whom, has anybody heard from DJ lately? Hopefully, he's pretty much healed up by now. |

I've not heard from him lately. Last I heard he was on the mend. MB would not be the same without Danny, BuelltoberFest wasn't right with him broken. |

Hey again folks- thanks for your kind words. I'm hangin at the house, watching it rain and get colder, trying to adjust back to regular life and time. It's a rollercoaster ride, probably will be for a while. Got my good squeezie looking after me, making sandwiches and fixing stuff up. For what it's worth, youn's oughta get a copy of Lyle Lovett's "Joshua Judges Ruth". Track 7, "Since The Last Time" is a song I wanted to play at the service, but I couldn't persuade sis in such short time. Every song on this disc is fantastic, some more so. (Bonus that Lyle is a motorhead, AND that he did Julia...) DJ's pic above is helping chase the funk out- got a good laugh on that one. Oh yeah- not that I care a lot, but Go Vols! (Last game, against Kentucky.) Kudos and happy trails to Phil Fulmer. We sold him a Fatboy when our dealership opened- let's hope he gets some time to ride in his retirement. |

Go Vols! May have been a bad season but at least Ohio State is still not the only team to never lose 8 games in a season. Wish that I was on old Rocky Top! HEEE-HAW! Somehow I haven't wandered into this thread until now...hope everybody's been good since Buelltoberfest. I'm lookin' forward to MB big time! Stick with the blues as long as it takes, Brad...that music grew from roots that contain powerful medicine for the times when life gets too heavy to handle. My condolences. I'm glad DJ is healing up...that was a bummer at Buelltoberfest. I met him and hung out with him Friday night and then hear d he wiped on Saturday. Shook me up a bit. I just wish March was sooner! |
