http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=1309 1.0 Some guy let his newbie friend ride his $75k Ducati on his first track day, and the guy wrecked it. As the story goes, he was having trouble passing a more experienced rider in the corners and got frustrated. He made contact with the other bike while trying to pass. The more experienced rider ran off but stayed upright, while the new guy slid across the ground. He allegedly now wants to sue the track and the rider he hit. According to the track forum, the other rider was a female on a Buell: http://www.jenningsgp.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=2 &t=15698&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&start=35 Anyone know who it is?? |

Wow- what a moron. Actually a couple of morons (the owner and the rider). You know, you'd think the people running the event might just say something about a newb riding a bike like that on his first time out. |

I doubt the organizers had any idea. Sue the track and the other rider? Good luck with that. I saw a control rider take out a track day patron. Shit happens. Everyone assumes the risk. Unfortunately another example of our "It's not my fault/It's someone else's fault" society. |

2 of my 3 run offs on my last Jennings outting (Oct 4), were trying to pass one of the 2 MV Agustas that was there. The MVs were brand new and the riders (one of which was bumbed back to novice) looked that way as well.... Lots of $$$$, no skillz.... Maybe I should look up the fools that are funding the other fools... Maybe they will fund me!! Buells are much less expensive. |

I had an Penguin Roadrace School instructor at Jennings almost take me out in the pit. He attempted to pass me as I turned into my spot and we collided. No harm done...the bikes held each other up. The dude apologized and admitted fault which was noble of him. His bike was prettier than mine, anyway. At least the douche didn't take out the other rider. |

We had a local organizer set up a motocross track at the fairgrounds. It did real well for a couple of years until this class A rider had his throttle stick wide open on a big jump at the start/finish line. He ended up with severe brain damage and his parent's sued the track & organizer. Needless to say the organizer was just a little guy and closed the track. What was really bad about the deal was the kid knew his throttle was sticking but raced anyway. I never heard if he got anything or not but it really stinks suing someone else when you knowingly ride defective equipment. |

I guess that's what you get for letting Brett Favre ride your bike! |

That is the best toy hauler setup they could find for a bike that nice? Obviously spent all the money on the bike. |

"That is the best toy hauler setup they could find for a bike that nice? Obviously spent all the money on the bike." I think that's the track crash crew picking it up afterward. The bike in the front end loader is not the Des. |

"I will not talk publicly on any details for my family's protection." Its a motorcycle, and expensive motorcycle and they crashed it. I highly doubt by reporting FACTS, as you know them, you're life is in jeopardy. If anything the said idiots would thank you for setting everybody straight. Ducati isn't the Mafia for God's sake. "I doubt this level of stupidity will just go away..." Not defending anybody, but isn't high performance riding the reason why this bike was built? If you got the money to buy it, you got the money to fix it. |
