Glad you clarified that, I was thinking of stuff like old Knucklehead engine parts and the like. Still hard to find, just different. |

that was just an example, i bet if i look into knucklehead parts i can come up with some of the wall stuff! i'll check it out and see what we have for giggles, i would'nt be surprised if we had a stock pile of stuff! our sales manager has a pristine 40's model harley, he rode it by today on his day off and the darn thing looked brand new, a lot of the parts were supplied from our parts department! |

Tripp, thanks. I need to do a little research. I saw a Evo sporty with that body work in the early 90's in Japan. I am rebuilding a 92 Evo Sporty but really have not decided on a direction yet. I just got the frame back from powder coating. If you have pictures of the bodywork or a link to a site with pics of it that would be great but do not worry about it. I will search the Internet to see what I can find. Frank |

hi neil, wow those are some rare parts, the shocks are readily available to me, and we happen to have a tour pack for that bike in stock! all the fairing and saddlebag bracketry is going to be hard to get unfortunately. however, i did find a few dealers showing some of those parts in their inventory: 90499-86 saddlebag mounting frame, try f&s hd of ohio - 58150-83 bottom support assy., try ray price hd of n.c. - 58227-83 fairing brace, try hd of maryland..... |

first of all, are these the air shocks that were stock on the bike. if so how much for them and the tour pack. out of curiosity, what color is the tour pack. |

tour pak is red, shocks are oem part# and original to that model and year, if they were air then than these are also air, will get you pricing tomorrow (i'm home already) or you can call the shop (they're open till 8 e.s.t.) and ask for allen (for tour pak) or rob can give pricing on the shocks. |

no hurry trip. originally my bike was black with gold pinstriping and gold bar and shield. got hit on it and had changed the color but alot of the things that i've found have been the black and gold. also have the tour pak but if i had a chance that was in better shape and same color i would definitely consider getting another one. i'll check those other shops out tomorrow. never thought it would be that easy to get some of those things. especially the brackets. there's one after market shop that has a new fairing and a used one with out the plexi. let me know what you find out and thanks a heap tripp. |

Josh...I got all sizes of well nuts and all screws in stainless from fastenall..Very nice and clean...I redid all wellnuts and body screws plus the fairing and w/shield.....Plus managed to get fork seals offa ebay for the 42 mm marchy forks... As far as the rear shock goes, I pressume mine came with a small eyelet showa, as the mounts seem different than on the WP...Hankb

you found the goofy flat-head-screw-with-condom headlight cover screws? got a p/n? I have a rebuilt S2 shock that I hope fits (since I paid to have it sprung and rebuilt) but it would be nice to have a good OE shock with the remote preload and all. |

I bought some well nuts from EFB last year but they were too long for the headlight screws. Dan told me they do not have any of the screws like my headlight cover has. I was hoping for NOS parts. pls let me know if you hear of any RS fork legs or body parts. Thanks |

Josh...My RS had black button heads on the w/shield and head cover...i used SS button heads with a small SS washer... The body has 1/4" phillips...I got them in SS as well and used new plastic washers under neath that I got from fasennall as well....I do believe you can get alot of this still from Buell if you order with S2 part #s... Fastennall had to order the stuff in for me, but I got all sizes of well nuts , screws and plastic washers, plus I redid alot of the bikes hardware in SS allen socket bolts....The gold shit that was originnaly used looked very grubbby and worn out.... i wasnt going for a 10 point resto, just a super clean bike, and after all, 2 guys built it in the first place, I just improved it by rebuilding it single handed. I also woulda liked a wp shock for it, but some of the OEM photos show the bike with a showa design without a resevoir...i have found a few of those ones.... Hb

yes, just like hank says, you can use s2 numbers for a lot of parts for that bike. i talked to the factory today, nice folks over there, they said they had 1 headlight cover left in stock, thay said to use s2 parts for wellnuts and headlight cover screws. also, i was told to use the latest and greatest s3 showa shock for the rear suspension and believe it or not they still have oem fork assy.'s for the rs1200. complete for $730.51!!! call me @1401-724-0010 if you would like to order. |
