Man, that's a big bird to take on. A buddy of mine hit a duck once that knocked him out. |

I hit a bird on a bicycle. Went into the spokes...made quite a mess. Doing around 120 on a backroad on the Buell I had a huge crow buzz me. I put my chin on the tank and narrowly avoided that suicidal bastard. Lucky thing it hit the bike and not you...too bad it ain't Thanksgiving. |

thats always fun! back when i was young and even more dumb i had a yzf600. i had put it up for sale and a guy bought it over the phone. well since he was on his way to pick it up i thought i needed to have one more run with it. took of out of town doing a few wheelies and such. then figured id top it out one more time. top speed was between 160/170. well i was just off the revlimiter when a big black bird swooped down and came straight through the windscreen... directly into my face! and no as you may have guessed from that i didnt have a helmet on. i either got a beak or one of the bones right on my nose and down the right side of my face. not a deep cut, but a fairly long one. i managed to keep the bike on the rode just fine even though i couldnt because of all the blood and guts from the bird on my face. the only thing left of the bird was its feet hanging out the other side of what was left of my windscreen, lol |

Guy I was riding with has a seagull fly right into him. The guy was ducking way behind his screen watching this thing come right at him. Hit him on the top lip of the helmet, sent him tumbling off of his bike and bird parts when everywhere. Guy was alright. Bike was cosmetic damage. Reminder folks. It's that time of year and the animals are out in force. |

Guy I was riding with has a seagull fly right into him. You were on that roller coaster with Fabio? Sweet!! are you the blond or brunette? When i first started driving a truck i worked with a guy that had all these little scars on his face. they got there when he hit a turkey, came thru his windshield and landed on his lap. worse part was it didn't kill the dumb thing right away, so he got cuts from the glass and from the turkey scratching him. |

I have hit three birds so far on the Uly. You'd think with the Race Can that they could hear me coming. I've caught one on the flyscreen, one in the knee and caught one on the helmet just above the shield. |

Yeah, seriously I have birds dive-bomb me a lot on my XB -- more so than (it seems) a car or the bikes I used to ride...wonder what it's about cause it's not like we are stealthy. |

If it will deflect birds, maybe you should stop calling it a "fly screen". |

I got hit by a wild turkey on the bike once... from behind. It was flapping and scratching at my helmet before it was able to launch. |

Sorry, Froggy. I can hardly turn my computer on, never mind figure out how to post a picture. Got a good shot of the bike on my camera though. Remind me to show you next time you see me. |

Had a guy out here, drove up with his windshield busted out, come to find out, he just hit a turkey, busted his windshield so bad, he had to kick it out to see. Not to mention the mess he had inside. Big ole birds can do some serious damage. How many have cut a bird in half with their antenna? Unbelievably, twice within two months. |
