I have a pair of the original Laverda Bars. The are pretty nice, but the ones I have were brazed together, and came apart. They need to be re- welded and chromed, so I abandoned them for the Tomasellis. The Rask/Laverda's are a very poor imitation of the original Laverdas. I bought a pair and returned them. As I recall, I just could not mount them on my XB12S, I forget why. Here are the Laverda Bars mounted on the original Laverda Jota, one of the fastest street bikes in its day.

Here are some routing shots from mine. I cut a slot for the throttle cables and then had to go deeper to keep them from binding. It is hidden well by the fairing however. I drilled a hole for the clutch cable and ran it under the speedo assembly. I had to widen the hole in the upper triple tree to get the cable to lay down behind the speedo. I also had to trim the foam on the back of the fairing to free up the throttle cable. It moves lock to lock without any binding. Perfect for Track Day!

Do they feel rigid enough that a 210lb man could throw this around? (stoppies, wheelies, ect) |

I'm 187, 210 with gear, they still feel really solid to me, in a wheelies. I havn't grown the nadz needed to do a really good stoppie. What few that have been done I just squeezed the tank really tightly, but that lasted only fora few seconds before leting off the brake. Love that Laverda!!! |
