Hey M1combat,My price for the race kit complete, Race ecm,k&n filter, and cermiac exhaust dual outlet can taxes included $1040.00 . If I buy the Ecm and filter its $462.53 taxes included...+ $533.00 taxes included for D&D Hmmm total for both $995.53 ...to go with the D&D and filter & Race ECM is, your right CHEAPER...Not by much..So would Everyone all agree that it is the way to go?? Does the cermiac can offer anything extra?? also the race kit is for as it says on the box I readed for a XB12 is there any difference between the 9 and 12 exhaust can?? |

Hogs, The only difference between the ceramic and non-ceramic can is the one has ceramic coating (get that one if you decide on the Buell exhaust -for sure). There is no difference in the exhausts between the 984 kit and the 1200. The difference is the ECM. Totally different setup beings the 984 is short stroke and rev's to 7200 and the 1200 only revs to 6800. I got the D&D FWIW. It truly rocks with the way it sounds. I had the Buell race kit exhaust before that. Performance wise, they're about the same with the D&D having a stronger midrange. Top and bottom end seemed the same. But the D&D sounds wicked cool IMO. If you wanna save a buck it might be worth looking for a race ecm on ebay. I got mine second hand as well and saved more than half of the retail price. |

I have a 2005 XB12r that I put D&D exhaust on. I also a Buell race filter and servo emulator. I installed a Daytona Twin tuner and had the bike dyno tuned. The bike surges at low throttle at 20 to 30 mph, weather in 3rd or 2nd gear. Throttle response is poor coming off from a stop. Also, when started, the bike will only idle for a few revolutions and then quit. I DO wait for the system to pressurize before starting. Also, I changed the plugs and wires. Has anyone else had this problem or anything similar with their D&D pipe? |
