What handlebars are a good replacement for a XBS that uses the same trees? Thanks, Paul |

What are you looking for, a stock bend, more forward and down, more upright? |

Actually I like the way they are. I was hoping to get some recommendations on other bars and have riders tell me what they liked about them. Style, function, color, all possibilities. |

Well, for example. I am coming off an 06' cbr600rr, that had clip-ons (drop bars) that give the rider a more aggressive leaned over riding position. the bars we have on our XB's are designed for an upright more ergonomically comfortable riding position. I want the best of both worlds and am going to switch to a PRO TAPER bar, the SE (7/8's) in black. Depending on the rise (height) and sweep (how far the hand grips come back towards the rider) you can fine tune exactly what position you want to be in. I am going with a low rise and shallow sweep to get out over the front end a little more for an aggressive feel. Just my .02 |

I needed to lean more forward for cornering, I do mountain roads and track days. I tried low dirt bike bars, but the wrist angle did not work at all. I then went to the Crossroads zero degree. For me, they are perfect for cornering, but not as far forward and low as the "R" model. Best $250 I've ever spent on a motorcycle. |

yeah the crossroad bars are a very nice setup as well. Might be a little more involved as far as an install. Cowtown check out this thread, a good overview of some options as well. http://badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/32777/3 36917.html?1203843660 |

I love my Tomasselli adjustable clubmans bars. They give me an old cafe racer look and feel, which is cool, since I am an old cafe racer. Mounting them was a bit of a pain, but they suit me down to the ground.

I have the crossroads, but I needed it a little higher. I designed a .250 spacer on Surfcam and cnc'd it.

I think if you like the same similar setup as stock , the moose racing dirt bike bars are great. I believe Blake has a good picture of a set of black ones he has on a red xb. Blake can you help me out on this? I bought the same ones and love them. |

Krueger, they are not user friendly. In fact if you go to the Buell webpage and search for these bags you will find they have a disclaimer on this topic. *WARNING! This saddlebag blocks access to passenger foot rests. Carrying a passenger with this saddlebag installed can cause loss of control. Death or serious injury could occur. Do not carry a passenger with this saddlebag installed. |

I didn't care for how high and pulled back the stock bars were so I replaced them with Pro Taper 7/8 Ricky Carmichael bend. Gives the bike more of a supermoto feel and puts you over the front tire a bit more.... |

I have the moose dirtbike bars, ricky charmical bend and I love them. very nice and give about the same feel as the stock bars. The pro taper se are really nice too. I found the ricky bend to be the closest to stock bend. I wanted basically the same bend as stock with a little bit less of a pullback while making my bars look like there strong. Stock ones look like they will snap when I drop a 100mph wheely. |

Adrenaline, sweet looking bar. How are they in the twisties? Freeway speed? I suspect that you may sit tall? It also looks as if you are slightly forward as compared to stock? Is there a website for these bars? Thanks (Message edited by point_doc on April 29, 2008) |

The trac96ckr bars are very nice because they have a very simple welded on risers. Since Buell has decided to use the Harley type of angled handlebar clamps, making risers can get a bit more complicated than necessary. I think the trac95ker bars could use some more "droop" but Rich can make them anyway you want, if he is still making them. |

Hammeroid...where can I pick up a set of those bars? I bought the Crossroads clip-ons but it seems like the clutch cable will be binding after install. |

Vee- using the "R" clutch cable and drilling a small hole in the front mounts will work perfectly. I had a set on my but the bracket bent when the bike fell off the lift. Or another option is to try the 'Precision Engineering' 1" bar risers. If I can get another mounting bracket, that is the road I am going down. I had the stock set up, the cross roads, and now a drag bar that I was able to mount using the 1 inch risers. It puts my hand at about the same height as the stockers, but 2 inches forward, for a bit more aggressiveness. |

I ride the Renthal low rise handlebars. They come wide and I cut them down to what width I wanted. You can get them from AmericanSportBike.com They cost about $65.00 (stock bars are $60) |

point- The dirtbike bars feel awesome. Where the S model really is about is the feeling like a dirtbike. One thing that always makes a dirtbike feel more nimble is a good set of bars that are wider and straighter. I rip up the twisties with the best of them, and most of my buddies are riding cbr's and gsxr bikes. I love the bars I have for stunt riding as well. |

U4euh: Do you have a pic of your current set-up? It sounds like what I am looking for...same height as stock but further forward. Thanks in advance. |

Point, and Vee, he is in the bran section. I think you should be able to pm him from there. Also, the cables have to be run through the sides if the front assembly. I have an Ss and didn't have to change any cables. These bars are great for more aggressive riding and track days. Plus you and the bike look cooler... very important. |
