Mine did that when the crank seal went bad. Before you panic, check all of your fluid levels first. Also make sure that your crank breather isn't blocked off somehow. |

Yep, and when you verified the vent hose is clear, adn all levels are okay(except of course the engine oil level, because its puking into the primary/trans)... Route the trans breather to your catch can... Did that till the crank seal was leaking so bad, it would puke OUT of the vent in the catch can when I hammered it... Chase |

The crank vents into the airbox via two hollow bolts, one in each head. Unless, of course, you've done the XB conversion. If you haven't, that's where the oil on your right knee comes from. |

oil is also insibe the air box is this because of the crank seal? How hard is this seal to replace? |

oil is inside the airbox, because, frankly, it was designed that way.... So.... make sure its clear... Anyway, the crank seal in and of itself, isnt that big of a deal... 7bux... BUT, you need to pull the primary... THEN, pry the old one out... THEN, get the right depth on seating it... Chase |

Welcome Mike. It's good to have WVers here. First make sure that you are not over filling the motor oil. Do a search in the Knowledge vault. As Nate and Chase said inspect the level of oil in primary. Let us know what you find. Joe (Message edited by bad_karma on May 01, 2008) |
