Well, from what I'm told about the stock seat on this bike it's basically a piece of wood with leather strapped over it. Anyone fit any other seats on it? |

I put on the Pegasus seat upgrade and it is much better (about $150 in round numbers). It increases the seat height by about 3/4 of an inch an is flatter. The contact patch with your butt is larger and more cushioned. More comfort. Corbin has an alternative for the XB12/9R which fits the 1125R (AL @ American Sports Bike) has one/can provide it for you and likes it. |

Actually, I've found the stock seat works surprisingly well. It's firm, but it doesn't give up on you. It's still OK after 100 miles - and you'll be pitting for gas shortly after that anyway. Buell's touring saddle looks good on the bike, though - still considering it - but the stock saddle is better than I anticipated. Jack |

I think the stock seat feels like a frying pan. I had a tour seat on my Firebolt, so I got one for the 1125 before the bike arrived. New tour seat is harder than the old one, but still a big improvement. Z |

This is the one I am talking about. And even if the pic depicts an XB__R it also fits an 1125R

the corbin is wider and firmer than the stock seat. i did a 600+ mile trip in a day after i bought the 1125R with no discomfort. i haven't done more than 100 miles in a row since installing the corbin, but i have noticed that while comfortable while riding, stopping is less stable for my vertically challenged balance points. i may be going back to stock for MBV and the gravel parking lot. tim |

guys Derbycycles.com has a really good price on airhawk cushions and star cushion freedom air pads, they are both air inflatable seats pads and the best price I have seen for the air hawk cushions, about 130 for each and I plan on buying one that way I can store it or use it, but I rode over 100 miles without stopping to day and did not feel uncomfortable the whole way, but if I am going to do a iron butt run then I will need something more than the stock seat. Don't forget any other seat that is wider or "thicker" will raise your feet further from the ground, for those of us who aren't exactly tall. |
