Not sure what link you were trying to put in your post. There's a number of posts about Angelle Sampey on the 'net - both on her Suzuki and on Buell. |

She will make us all proud! I've watched her for years when she was Angelle Savoir. One hell of a good racer. (easy on your eyes also) |

I'm googling it. Just thought I'd try to put a functional link here. Not really old news - it's GOOD news! |

This is fantastic. I've spent many years at the drag strip and Angelle is awesome on a ProStock bike. I believe she started racing with her maiden name Angelle Sealing. I can't wait to get a racing poster with Angelle on a Buell for the garage. I may have to start going back to NHRA Nationals on a more regular basis. |

Her maiden name is Angelle Sampey. She took it back following her second divorce. |

Personally, I can't stand her. She cries every time something goes bad. Suck it up girl, your playing with the big boys now... I'd like to see a stat as to how many times she's lit the red light in either the semi's or final round. |

She's just an intense competitor who gets cranked when she loses. Hard for disappointment not to look whiney when you're 5'1" and 100 lbs! She is one hell of a racer, and one of the only Suzuki riders still able to stay with the V-twins last year, partially because she pushed the limits on the lights. She will be ferocious on the Buell. |

The last time she won a championship was 2002, in '03 was when HD came on the scene w/ the factory sponsored "VRods" (yes I know looks only, that's why I quoted it). Oh yeah, she finished 5th in points last year and didn't make the final 4 countdown. |

She cries every time something goes bad. Suck it up girl, your playing with the big boys now... She's been there longer than most of the "big boys." I'd like to see a stat as to how many times she's lit the red light in either the semi's or final round. The bikes all red light more than the cars. the bikes mechanically react faster to the rider input than the cars do to their respective drivers. |

This was only done for her name and past championships. Rush Racing had a great new driver who finished higher in points (fourth in her first year!)and drove much better than Angelle this year. I hope it works well for the Buell team, but I think they already had a good team. |

Sorry my bad on Angelle's maiden name. You have to remember racing has more to do with sponsors and advertising than the actual racing. If Angelle has not done well lately, she definitely has made a name for herself in ProStock bike. I did not realize Rush racing had a rider who finished 4th last year. What's wrong with a two bike team? Most 4 wheel teams run multiple cars for the increased testing and tuning data. I still think a Buell drag race team is exciting. Will this be based on the 1125R engine? |

Will this be based on the 1125R engine? No, the "Buell" version of the drag race motor resembles the HD V-rod motor but is a short stroke/big bore motor vs the HD V-rod long stroke/small bore motor. IIRC, the displacement is around 160 cu. in/2600cc. Here's a link the to Star Racing site with some more info about their Buell http://www.starracing.com/vdrag_prostock.php Check out the prices, and you thought road course/track day racing was expensive.... |

Damn straight! I'm not a fan either. Personally, I wasn't very excited to hear this news. Actually, I wasn't even a little excited. Bottom line, she got spanked, and jumped ship on her manufacturer! Wait a minute, . . .Angelle getting spanked. . .now there's something I might get excited about. . . |

It has been exciting, including the championship they won! They've had several bikes, not just a 2 bike team. Check the stats, Buell riders made up the 3 of the final 4 last season! They made up 6 of the final 10! |
