I had a deposit down at the dealership in Lakeland, and was on the waiting list in Gainesville. G ville called me and said they had one for sale, so I rode up and bought it. It was the first one available for retail sale in Gainesville. I got to ride it 150+ miles tonight. |

Hey Tim I ordered from Wildfire HD here in IL. What's funny is that they have 3 bikes coming. The last bike due to ship this year is actually the first bike that was ordered. So I was just told that I would get the first one that comes in. I'm really baffled by how this stuff works.. First in, last out? I don't know how the others do it. If it were not for the status updates on badweb, I'd be back at the dealer to get my deposit back, calling BS on the dealership. Thanks for the luck, I need all I can get. Looks like you'll be riding soon, and probably in some decent weather too. |

The bike is more comfortable to ride than the 12R was, the seat is better. The rider pegs have rubber pads on them, easier on the feet. I could tell a huge difference in how I felt on the way home. It took 2 hours to get to Gainesville on the 12 R and 3 hours to get back on the 1125, but I felt better even though I had an extra hour in the saddle on the return trip. The headlights are awesome! The instruments are cool, it displays air temp and coolant temp next to the speedo. I never saw engine temps over 195 and caught a bunch of traffic lights and evening commuters. The suspension works well, I think the longer wheelbase is a big plus. I turned it 4500- 5000 rpm between shifts, that was sweet torture. The power was just starting to come on as I had to close the throttle and upshift. I am only working a few hours Friday, I will hopefully get past the 300 mile mark, change the oil and be able to turn it 7000 rpms. |

Wahoo, I live in Jax. if your ever up this way, drop a line. Gainesville has some twisties that are fun. Unfortunately, I don't see a 1125 in my near future. I work in the homebuilding industry and it's horrible. That equals no bonus for me. Which also means I remain a one horse stable. Good thing I love my 12r. |

I live outside of Tampa, I rode up to Gainesville to trade my XB12R on the 1125. I got 32 MPG average on the trip home. |

picked mine up Friday in Atlanta, took it to a friends house where we did setup and overall check over. then did a little 140 mile on-off throttle to 6000 rpm until dark. 45F outside with grey misty skies made me glad that i ordered heated grips. (my new favorite accessory) did oil change and prepared for trip home to Louisiana. left Atlanta @ 10 eastern, 45F, grey skies again mist in the air. did the on-off to 6000 rpm until reaching 300 miles and then the real fun started. on-off throttle to 7500 rpm until 600 miles. 7500 in 4th= 115 indicated. ran into dark, followed by a squall line shortly after passing 600 miles. finished the last 100 miles in the rain and wind. impressions are favorable. i was wondering about the hotfoot comments and finally found out in Mississppi when the traffic came to a standstill due to a wreck. engine temp went up to 220, ambient reading 120 and right foot started heating up. never noticed until then. also found a slight burble in FI at 5100 rpm, fixed throttle. not noticeable with advancing or retreating throttle. original plan was to ride home in decent weather on the backroads, modified due to wx and time constraints. bike handled road conditions admirably and the bike and i were launched at 85 mph by something in the road (debris or road lift?) that i didn't see and tracked on with no shake. really didn't get to play with the twisties so that impression will have to wait. mileage started on the guage as 10mpg, increasing to 28mpg when i got home. should get better now that the on-off throttle is over. time for another oil change. thank you Cameron and Stone Mountain H-D Buell. Merry Christmas!! tim |

Excellent, Tim Decided not to wait yesterday, left at 10, it was 25˚. Stopped by a buddy's and showed off, by the time I hit the road again, it was up to 34˚, balmy. Went by my friend's house that passed away last week, stopped and dropped my pass pegs and took him along for the rest of the day. I'm up to 360 miles and the weatherman says 48˚ today. Wife just asked me what the temp is gonna be. When I told her, she said "Guess I don't see you much today?" Z |

Went to Tukwilla today and picked up mine. I don't mean to shout but HOLY FREEKIN S$%T! WHAT A RIDE Only put 31 miles on it and (going from an XB9S) was taking it easy, so I thought, scared the bejesus out of myself. More later, I gotta get some sleep, if I can. Going to finish this brew to help with the shaking then try to sleep. Oh, the headlights KICK ASS! Didn't even get it over 5000 rpm's HAPPY NEW YEAR to you all!
